Yes, same issue on my LG ENVY2....So I found out from the Verizon store that the problem wasnt my battery or charger it was that my 'Software neede to be updated' ...I dropped off the phone for about 2 hrs while they had it plugged in. The next morning i took it off charger & it stayed charged ALL DAY. The very next day it went right back to not charging... So YES updating your software is SUPPOSE to help but theres other things that def. help like.... Diasable any applications you arent using (bluetooth etc) this worked for me..Some phones have a power save mode.....Some lady posted on yahoo (that was a phone tech) that if you take an eraser an rub the metal part of battery & metal on phone it makes the connection much more clear! Haven't tried that on yet. Over all, these 'great' phones we spend a fortune on are all made basically the same out of China and sure arent build to last!

Why wont my nookhd wont charge

If it\'s only two months old it may have a defective charging cable or adapter. If it\'s a new purchase and you can return it. To check to see if it might be the adapter and not the charging cable you have a few cheap ways to test this out.

General charging recommendations.

If you get power leave it on charge at least 3+ hours. This is the minimum time required if the battery is totally drained. If the Nook turns itself on during this process manually turn it off. The battery charges faster and more deeply if it\'s truely powered down. Charging more than 3 hours won\'t hurt it. In fact some manufacturers claim leaving thier products on charge for an additional hour after the charging light glows green is good as it leaves a slightly deeper charge on the battery. Also I believe leaving it alone for that hour allows it to cool the battery. Most manufacturers also recommend tottaly draining the battery at least once a month and then fully recharging it 1+ hours after charging light is green. They claim this helps the battery maintain a healthy charge and extends the battery life. Simply disconnect any charging cables, turn the unit on and just let it set. Don\'t touch it peroid just leave it alone until it turns off because the battery is totally drained. Then just plug it in and leave it. Only if the unit automatically turns itself on do you manually turn it back off.

Well that\'s about in in keeping the battery life and charge at its maximum.

If your AC power adapter has gone south there are only three ways to get around this. 1. Purchase a generic AC to USB adapter. 2. Purchase a genetic DC to USB adapter. Most of these can be cheaply purchased at most drug stores ect.. these days. You can even get DC to USB ones at dollar stores such as Dollar Tree. Good way to maintain your battery if your AC one goes south or you lose house current.

One other way to charge your battery is to plug the USB cable into your computer. Some manufacturers don\'t recommend this as this more often than not doesn\'t fully tank up your battery.

You can also get replacement charging cables at the same place you got the adapters. Places such as Walgreens, or CVS often have these at around five dollars a pop.

Hi ive got a samsung galaxy s2 and the battery life is really bad. I will charge the phone fully over night and ut wont even last half a day. Is this a commen problem or do u have a dodgy battery

How old is the phone/battery?

Has the battery been fully discharged (used until it will not power up the item) very many times?
This is very bad for Li/Po batteries. If the phone is less than 6-12 months old, I would contact my cell provider and ask for a replacement battery. In lieu of your provider replacing it, your only option will likely be to replace it yourself. Unlike the old-school Ni/Cad rechargeable batteries, Li/Po batteries lose their ability to hold a charge if they are drained fully too many times. Also a good tip with a new battery is to charge it longer than just until the battery power indicator is full (overnight is a good basic rule, but check your phone's user guide or google the specific battery model for recommended charge times) for the first few charges, and avoid letting it fully discharge. Try to get it on a charger with at least 1 or 2 bars left. This will increase the life of a cell phone battery dramatically.

hope this helps,

My phone charges but never reaches the stage where message says "your battery is full now", even if i leave it overnight to charge. then when i turn the phone on, it's life is only a couple...

Ifthe cell phone battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be wornout. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cyclesand will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up atall. ORThe battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected thebattery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. Ifthe battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to bereplaced.

My samsung U600 cellular phone loses battery life and overheats

You will need to change your battery as soon as possible. You battery is causing all this. You are not using the phone and the charge of the battery is going through your phone's motherboard which is causing the phone to become very hot. It might also damage your phone's motherboard.

3 month old new phone. samsung tocco lite. battery problem

1) faulty battery - you'd need to get a replacement from the manufacturer (should be free if still under warranty)
2) when you initially charged the battery after purchasing, if you used it at all before it was completely charged it won't hold a charge.
3) if you live or travel in mountain area, phones lose battery power quicker due to an increase in elevation and distance from nearest tower.
4) if phone has been exposed to moisture or direct sunlight for an extended amount of time, it can damage the phone's ability to hold a charge.

honestly, your best bet is to replace the battery & allow it to charge for 24 hours in "off mode". if the problem persists, then send it in to be repaired.

Battery not charging

Since it is only a month old you need to take it back. These devices have a smart battery. Most of the time in your situation, the charger itself is the issue. Have you tried charging it by computer usb?
Also, one thing you can try is a hard reset if you hav't already. A hard reset is holding both the lock and home key until you see the apple appear. You could also do a firmware upgrade but I would highly suggest that you take it to an apple store before modifying anything since its so new.
Hope this helps.

Viewty's battery loses charge very quickly

with rechargeable batteries you have to fully charge it up then completely run the battery dead for the first 3 or 4 times this is what extends the battery life. I have had an LG viewty for 16 months and only charge my phone twice a week. this is a golden rule for all rechargeable batteries

My g1 will not charge fast like it use 2

Have you tried recalibrating the battery? To do this you use the phone until it completely runs out of battery and switches itself off. Make sure it has completely run out by continuing to turn it back on until nothing happens except a red LED coming on. Then charge it while it's off until the green LED has been on for 2 hours. Hopefully this will improve your battery life.
