How to remove a blower from Sanyo a/c unit model K51271 for clean-up?

You did not post the model number but if the unit uses pushbuttons on the actual set, the carbon coating on the inside of the switch pad is flaking off and causing problems. You may be able to remove it and clean it up and it would be fine, you may have to use a new coating on the buttons though.

must be low on charge. Need to check the Freon pressures. Your blower wheel is clean right? your coil is clean?

All available parts are discontinued. Troll for another used parts unit online like craigslist

Sounds like the brushes are worn out and in need of replacement, if available.

The blower motor is placed within the blower fan unit . You will need to remove the dash board front and also remove the blower motor assmebly with the filter and vent settings to remove the blower for servicing and cleaning.
Removal of the dash and the motor unit can be easily done if you follow the pattern to remove the screws that fixes the motor body to the rotary fan unit.

First, pull-out your a/c unit. Open the electrical control and remove the wiring connections of your fan motor and the compressor. Separate the electrical control and make sure you have the wiring diagram for termination. Unscrew all panels to remove the fan motor, blower, and fan blade from the unit base. You have to move the evaporator farther but be careful with the pipes. After removing the panels, fan motor, fan, and blower wash the coils with water using pressurized water. Spray coil cleaner to remove excess dirt from the coils and wait until all dirt come out. make sure the chemical is not too strong to eat the aluminum fins. Wash and rinse thoroughly the coils to remove any chemicals left in the unit.Clean the panels, fan, blower, and motor.Oil bush type motor.Then assemble fixing the panels, blower, motor, fan blade panel, and fan blade. Screw all parts and rewire the unit.

There are reasons for.
1. Dusty indoor coil and blower wheel - Clean it.
2. Less speed of blower motor- Replace capacitor/motor
3. Short of gas- Find leak and rectify.

The Outdoor unit will be easy 1st diconeect power at panel, or disconnect box near unit. Remove top of unit, be careful not to damage fan blades. Spray coils (fins) with a light degreaser let is soak for 5 mins. wash out coils from inside the unit out. Spray straight on so you push the dirt out the other side.

Re assemble and start up.

Indoor coil will be accessed by removing front cover and you may have another cover to expose the inside of the coil fins. That is where you need to clean. Spray degreaser on coils and rinse off. If its gunked up then use a wire brush 1st. Carefull not to bend the fins over.

Check the drain pan at bottom of the coil to be sure it's not full of stuff. Blow out if needed.

You should be clean and ready for the season
