SOURCE: CD won't play; continually shuffles from one CD to another
did it just start doing this....how long have you had the unit for?
SOURCE: CD Player does not load CD
Try resetting the CD (Cambridge soundworks) by unplugging, then repluging. Then hold down the eject button while you turn on the power.
SOURCE: dvd player won't load disk
The only troubleshooting you can try is to unplug the unit for 30 minutes. If the problem persists, the unit needs to be repaired. If you're under warranty, the manufacturer will repair or replace the unit. If you're out of warranty, they may have an out of warranty exchange or repair program.

SOURCE: Mech Comm Error
sounds like they may have forgotten to take out transit plugs from radio which holds cd mechanism in place when shipping unless you got a new radio thats a dud? but that may also mean dealer didnt check operation of new unit after replacement if replaced which is what usually needs to be done when this error message comes up
SOURCE: Can this be fixed?
i have an audiovox dvd player model D1718 . i put the disc in and it says it is loading but then comes up no disc . how can i fix this problem?
Please try to put in an ordinary audio CD track and see if this is detected. If yes the optical is working, if not there is no laser scanning and the possibility of the head being faulty is high.
Now certain cleaner disks are not read and so will not be tracked.Try to open and do a cleaning manually of the laser head eye with a cotton bud very softly and without any pressing of the lens eye.
make sure that the Cd is loading into the drive and sets into the head if not the loading mechanism has some errors and must be reset for proper loading into the slot. possible obstruction or dirt accumulation must be checked.
