Recently purchased a Sylvania LD155SC8 TV. The SH50102 remote will not work with Direct TV. The Direct TV remote will only change the channels and I must use the Sylvania remote to turn on/off the TV and control the volume. Have tried all the codes listede for Sylvania on the Direct TV remote and some new codes that Direct TV gave me over the phone. Have called Sylvania but they have no answer to the problem. Thanks.
I think you mean Hughs when you're referring to your direct Tv remote? And you want that remote to turn on/off your Sylvania Tv, right?
I'd need to know the Hughs model number on the remote to know if it's a four or five digit code requirement. But here's a site that might help. http://www.remotecodelist.com/remotes/
Scroll down to Hughs and that link should take you to the DTV site where they have a wealth of info regarding codes. Find your model number remote control and you should have a list of possible codes to try.
If all this doesn't work let me know and I'll research sme more.

So, when you program the DTV remote to operate the Sylvania Tv it does operate the volume? But doesn't operate the power on/off? Is there any way you can send me a picture of the remote?

Could get onto the web site you recommended and under Hughs it routes you to the DirectTV website and it never logs on to it. Even if you try to go directly to the DirectTV site you can never log onto it.
The model number on the DirectTV Receiver is 00392.
The only numbers on the remote are 2982RCO-X and C073402.
