Question about Symphonic Televison & Video

Open Question

How do I clean a Symphonic 5 disc CD player. I cannot get any sound out of it and feel it needs cleaning.

One day it was working well and when I turn it on the next day no sound would come from it. I bought a disc cleaner and need to know which disc holder do I place it in to clean it. Thanks.

SOURCE: WHY CAN'T MY PLAYER READ CDs ANYMORE?

Solved the problem by cleaning lens with plain water on a cue tip. Wasn't sure if a special solution was needed, but water did the trick.

Player won't read disk. What can I do?

Does it make mechanical noise while it is trying to read a disc? That would indicate a laser out of adjustment trying to focus. Otherwise you may just need to clean the lens with some rubbing alcohol and a q-tip. Let it dry well before you fire it up again. Most player issues are due to a dirty lens and most disc style lens cleaners are only meant to be used as a maintenance item.

Skipping cds

All ways start with easiest step which is cd cleaning disc (has some bristles sticking out of it). If still have issues remove top cover to get access to the read eye and clean with qtip using no chemicals. The last issue that could be causing this is the rubber discs that hold the cd in place, they also need to be cleaned with some alchol. If none of that works then its not worth any other efforts as cd players are very cheap now days just replace it.

I think my lens is weak, the cd has to be ejected and inserted a couple of times before it works

Like any system, Xbox consoles require occasional cleaning to remain in peak condition. If you're experiencing skipping, poor sound quality, increased loading time, or any number of technical annoyances, simply cleaning your Xbox lens may correct the problem. The lens is responsible for reading all the data on your Xbox game discs; it is the most important part of the entire system. Cleaning the lens takes only a few minutes with the right cleaning product and know-how.
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
Things You'll Need:

* CD lens cleaning disc

1.Purchase a CD lens cleaning disc. It is important that you buy a lens cleaner for a CD player, not a DVD player. Classic Xbox consoles are not DVD compatible, but they can play CDs. Some lens cleaning discs are marketed specifically as Xbox 360 cleaners, but these may not work in an original Xbox if the disc is DVD-formatted.

2.Turn on your television and Xbox just like you normally would to play a video game.

3.Open your Xbox's disc drive, placing the lens cleaning disc in the drive face-up. A lens cleaning disc works by sweeping small brushes over the laser lens surface. These brushes are located on the bottom of the disc; be careful not to touch the brushes---the microfiber brushes are delicate and can become damaged easily.

4.Close the Xbox and let the machine power up; make sure your television's volume is turned on. Your Xbox should automatically take you to the system's standard CD player menu. If this does not happen, select the menu manually using your Xbox controller.

5.Begin playing the first track of the cleaning disc. Listen carefully, because audio directions will play indicating the steps necessary for properly using your cleaning disc. Each brand of lens cleaning disc will have different steps, but they are typically very simple, involving tasks like skipping ahead to different tracks or briefly putting the CD in fast forward mode. If you cannot hear the audio directions, consult the written instructions packaged with the disc.

6.Remove the cleaning CD after you've followed the audio directions---a typical cleaning cycle only takes a few minutes, and the audio directions will tell you when cleaning is complete.

7.Carefully place the lens cleaning disc back in its case, avoiding damaging the brushes on the bottom. Lens cleaners can be used multiple times, so plan on using the cleaning disc regularly to help avoid future problems with your Xbox console

Blaupunkt 5 disc cd player is showing 'no discs' when discs are inserted

The indiatation of No dics shows that the cd data is not being read by the optical unit.this could be weak or failure of the laser of the optical unit. what you can do is only to clean the lens and test. if not you will have to replace the optical unit. Further a failrue of the processing electronics is also possible.
Hence check after cleaning and load a good clean Cd to test. Hope this helps? Good day

5 disc cd changer CC4000 will not read

All players need cleaned from time totime. Do NOT try to clean it with anything other than a CD / DVD lens cleaner. They are available almost everywhere that sellsBlank media. It will clean the lens without scratching or smearing it.

Good day - I moved for my work and upon

First clean the laser head with a Qtip and alcohol. It gotta be perfectly clean, so wipe with fresh brand name qtip and make sure there is not a single dust particle on it. You gotta remove the cabinet with star screwdriver. Your beam might be tired. First try with the clean up! Unplugg before opening!

CD player does not recognize the cd's in the player

Hi, you will need to replace the optical lens assembly asap if possible. this is basically what the issue is at Thia's time. you can confirm my diagnosis by trying to clean the lens with a lens cleaning disc. if the cleaning dosen't restore the reading ability of the lens, you will need to replace the optical lens assembly when possible.

please rate and have a great memorial day:)

Vcd/mp3 player always says "no disc"

First try and clean the laser with a Q-tip with rubbing alchol on it. gently wipe the lens with the Q-tip. Then allow to dry for a couple of seconds. Try again if problem persists. Try to get the disc spinning wth your finger. While spinning clockwise close the lid and see if it takes off. If it does you have a bad spidle motor and it will need to be replaced. If it does not respond to either. I would consider replacement. The cost to repair by the time you pay a tech and parts you could get a new one with warranty. Generally if these need more than just a cleaning most people just replace due to cost of repair.
