What tools are needed in order to fix the clip on my eclipse fit clip?

It is not cost effective to fix an mp3 player like that. Here is a model that should be built a bit better.

After reaching the capacity of my 8gb Sansadisk, I purchased and installed a 16 gb micro sd card, but got no more memory, why not?

The Sansa Clip+ uses microSD cards. Your 16GB card is actually a microSDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible. You need to use microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.

SanDisk Sansa Express MP3 player stands at Sandisk logo!

You will need to get a micro sd card (it can be a dummy) and insert it into the slot on the side of the mp3 player. If you do not have one, you can use one of the round edges of a paper clip (be careful) to get it to come on. When you put either in, it should come on automatically, but if not, just press the power button. This should work.
