GR-AXM80U video camera manual - Video Cameras

You can't directly connect the JVC GR-AXM205 camcorder to a computer. You can connect it to a USB (or internal) AV video capture card. JVC has the manual for the GR-SX850U and GR-SX850UC on their support page, http://books.jvc.com/ . The direct link to the manual for the GR-SX850U is http://resources.jvc.com/Resources/00/00/97/LYT0480-001A.pdf . The PDFs of the manuals for each model lists the camera as the GR-SX850. I suspect that the GR-SX850U was only sold in the USA. The GR-SX850UC was sold throughout North America (since they have an English and Spanish version of the manual and a French-only manual).

Open and close it a few times. Maybe tap the side a little bit as the lens cap switch may be sticking.
