Re: when the water comes out of my clothes whirlpool
If it is the water itself have it tested, if it is the washer that is stinky then run a wash cycle with 2 cups of white vinegar or even more without clothes in it and see if that helps.

It is common on Whirlpool models for the water to splash out the top when filling especially when sheets or nylon cloth is loaded in the washer. Air fills the cloth and balloons the garment up this caused water to bounce off the garment and splash out the back. This is the most common reason for those mysterious leaks. Lowering the water pressure coming into the washer can help prevent this.
I found that running about a quart of white vinegar through a cycle with hot water and no clothes or detergent takes care of the musty smell. Vinegar removes detergent build-up.
If you dont wash whites with clorine bleach, you may want to every once in a while. Clorine kills germs and backteria which can smell. washer pumps do not get 100% of the water out.
If your clothes smell worse after washing then the machine is full of gunge from all the previous washes. One of the worst things that puts a gluggy deposit inside machines is of all things Softener! You could try putting a generous two cups of Sugar Soap Concentrate into your machine and filling it with warm water. Then let it stand for 24 hrs, Then start the wash cycle. This may clear the gunge. If not the only sure remedy is a strip down and degunk and that will cost you a few dollars.

This may not be relevant, but by design, bleach does NOT dispense in the Buly/Bedding, Kids Wear, and Silk/Ultra Delicate cycles. If you try to use it, it remains in the dispenser.
As for the yucky smell, leave the door open when not in use.
Open the door and let it air dry between washes doesnt have to be wide open but not latched either also run a hot wash with no clothes and 1.5 cups of bleach (pour bleach in the tub after it fills not in the bleach disp)
