Please turn off the camera BEFORE you plug it in. Most cameras start-up in connected mode when you do this. Please understand this may NOT help you. It is merely all I can offer.

Seem like the AF system doesn't reach the home position, therefore the zoom is not closing. Or may be has been smashed and the zoom block is jammed.

Anyway you need professional help. Problem will be solved after a major srip down.

SOURCE: Can't connect to wireless camera.

So, you're trying to connect your camera to computer via WiFi? SSID isn't number, but it's WiFi network name.

Try this:
1. Install your Nikon application from CD from the box.
2. Synchronize your camera to computer.
3. And organize your photo OR videos there.

Hope this help! PM me if there's questions.

Sigma 85 1.4 EX DG for nikon autofocus stopped working. I just recently sold this to a friend, worked perfect on my camera and she states it will manually on hers but not AF. Any suggestions?

those lenses are usually manufactured for specific model cameras if it works fine on your it's because that's the type of camera it was manufactured for. if it doesn't work on hers in AF then it's because the pin out on the lense isn't the same for her camera as it is for yours.

My 1 year old Nikon D7200 camera will not take a clear picture of Christmas lights unless I put it in mirror up position. .. why

By not clear do you mean out of focus or streaked due to movement? Try using a higher ISO setting in order to allow for a faster shutter speed and/or use a tripod.

What can I try if my Coolpix AW120 won't connect to my smartphone, even if I've followed all steps correctly?

The Smartphone connects to the camera NOT the camera connects to smartphone. You have to have the APP on the camera. You first have to turn on WIFI ON the camera. It is like a server. Then you turn on WIFI on the Phone and connect to the Camera WIFI.

I cannot get my gps to work on my nikon s9300 camera.

Did you switch on the GPS outside? because as long as you are in a building, the GPS won't receive anything from any satellite. Whe outside, give the GPS at least 2 minutes to find any satellite. Being outside, but between high buildings will have the same effect as being inside.

MTP USB device failed to install on Windows 7

Did you instal the software that came with your camera?
You also can download the new View NX from Nikon for free. Always first install the software, before connecting any device on your computer. Special what it is a device like a camera.
The computer can interpret a camera on an USB for: Now I nave to charge the battery. Or when you start the program to transfer pictures, now I have to download pictures, or some camera's like your D200, also cam be controlled remotely over the USB, if the correct software for that is installed.
The software windows needs to install has to be on the computer first.

The D-90 does not come with an internal GPS. However, one can be connected. If you have connected a GPS and are getting this error message, I would suggest you contact both Nikon at www.nikon.com and the GPS manufacturer to get help in troubleshooting the problem.

Troubleshooting connection problems to the camera - Windows

Occasionally Windows computers will lose connection to the camera; this is usually caused by a problem with the computer not loading the correct camera driver. To correct this: Connect the camera to the computer, and turn the camera on. Right click on My Computer (on the desktop) and select "Properties" Click the "Hardware" tab (Windows 2000 and Windows XP, Windows 98 click "Device Manager" tab) Click the Device Manager Look for the following: Unknown Device Other Devices Digital Camera USB Device Double click on one of the above items (which really is the camera, just not properly being recognized). Click the "Driver" tab Click the button marked "Reinstall Driver" or "Update Driver" The "Update Driver Wizard" will appear Choose the "Display a list" (or similar) option Choose the last option "Do not search, I will choose the driver to install." Update the driver that the camera is using by choosing from the list displayed or clicking "Have Disk" and browse to either a disk or a downloaded directory. The latest version of the drivers as well as the entire Nikon View program can be downloaded from the Nikon Technical Support web site. http://www.nikontechusa.com/ Click on your camera model and then "Software Downloads". These downloadable drivers are only needed for Windows 98 users, or Coolpix 880/990, all other OS's use the operating systems built-in camera drivers. In many cases simply reinstalling the proper driver for the camera will allow the computer to properly communicate with the camera.
