SOURCE: rubber and metal mount on the drive shaft nust

I am going through this now. I hear there is a huge problem with these. Some call a "hangar bearing". I got one from the dealer...only place available. It took me and a very talented mechanic friend most of the day yesterday to get the drive shaft out of the car and apart so the bearing could be changed. We had to use heat and a press to split the shaft at the yolk and torches to cut out the U joints. The end that mates to the tranny needed heat as well. After finally getting it out and bringing it to a driveline shop for balancing I was told they can't balance it because they have no way of mounting the front "CV joint" fitting to the balancer. The weights all came off the shaft when the bearing failed as it vibrated away. Not very happy with this at all. Can't believe GM hasn't re-called these. The drive shaft looked as though it had been rotting away in a field for twenty years. Our vehicle is an '05.
Good luck,
Mike

Find vin number on rascal scooter

Depending on with Rascal scooter you have, The 600's number can be under the foot plate which means turning the scooter onto its back supports to have a look. The numbers can be stamped into the metal support for the seat post or even a sticker stuck on the rear frame work of the scooter. But about the batteries the other answer you got is correct.

Where to plug in charger

The XLR plug plugs into the front of the Joystick. The hole in the front of the joystick looks like two eyes a nose. The XLR plug has three pins the only connect one way in the joystick. procedure is plug into the joystick first then plug the power cord into the outlet on the wall in your home. No extension cords please. This is an off board charge it means it is not mounted to the chair. Strege Mobility

I would recommend the correct automatic charger as you don't want to damage your batteries or have a fire/explosion.

This is a Speck swimming pool 1.5kw pump I need to replace the motor stator bearings but don't know how to take the pump impeller off

This is the most popular pump frame. The motor will actually have a square flange as an integral part of the motor (not the pump) on the front of the motor with 4 holes (one hole in each corner of the flange). The pump body will be secured to this square flange with 4 bolts, which are outside the round barrel of the motor. Caution: Make certain the square flange is part of the motor; not the pump body. Many pumps are square and may appear to be part of the motor. Removing the motor from the pump will allow you to make certain how the pump is fastened to the motor. How the pump is fastened to the motor determines the basic type of frame.
Note: Also, some 48Y frame motors are actually thru-bolt style; therefore, check the mounting bolts to make certain they are not thru-bolt style as described below.
Not a square flange on your motor? If you do not see a square flange as described above for the square frame motor, then you have a pump body, which mounts to the motor with 4 bolts accessible inside the pump case. This non-square frame will be a thru-bolt style frame, 56J frame, or 56C frame. How to determine if you have a 56J or 56C frame: The pump body mounts to the face of the motor with 4 bolts just inside the circumference of the motor barrel. To see these mounting bolts, you must take apart the pump body and look inside the pump. The bolts will be fastened into the face of the motor with threaded holes. 56J frame: If your pump body mounts into the face of the motor as described in the previous paragraph, and the impeller is threaded onto the motor shaft, then you have a 56J frame. Additionally, the impeller may be secured with a small screw, which is threaded into the center of the motor shaft. If the outside of the shaft is not threaded, maybe you have a 56C frame. 56C frame: If your motor has a shaft with a key-way (small metal key slides into a groove machined along the length of the motor shaft), then it is a 56C frame. These are very rare in today's pumps. If your pump is 20 years old or older, it may have a keyed shaft (56C), but even then is unlikely. The keyed shaft may also have an internal tapped thread to help hold the impeller once it slides over the key-way. Thru-bolt style frame: The motor mounting bolts are the key with this style of motor. Like the name implies, if the pump fastens with nuts to the 4 bolts, which pass all the way thru the motor, then you have a thru-bolt frame. These extremely long bolts (8 inches or longer) will go through the motor. These motors are popular on spas and above ground swimming pool pumps. NOTE: Sometimes these motors are also labeled 48Y frames, but they are not square flanged 48Y frames. Once you determine the frame, click on the link and view some motors to help determine horse power by analyzing the amperage comparisons.

I have a Rascal 245 Mobility Scooter which is 3 wheeled. How can I make it more stable than the little caster wheelers they use?

Obtaining a 4-wheeled front section is the best way to improve stability. The 3-wheeled front section on rascal 235 and 245 scooters easily detaches and interchanges with the 4-wheeled front sections(235 models are a little shorter (less legroom).

I have a Rascal 600f scooter that seems 2 work okay except both the power meter and charging meter indicates energy loss wrong. As the power is used the meter very very slowly goes down from full charge...

It is pretty common for the meters on the charger to either not work at all, or give an inaccurate reading. They get bounced and dropped, and they aren't that well built to begin with. Basically, just ignore the charger as long as you are getting a full charge out of it, and getting good distance with each charge.

Washer spin off balance

Check the Vibration damper rods to be sure that...
1. They are there and mount is solid.
2. If they are broken in 1/2.
3. The plastic knuckle mounts are not missing/broken.
4. There is oil in the shock absorber/spring section of the rods.

Also - there are suspension springs on the bottom of the tub that could be broken and/or missing.

Replace/repair as necessary.

IF THIS IS A BRAND NEW INSTALLATION - be sure you hav removed the basket shipping pins (4) that secure the tub during shipping.
