Getting error 4 when try to play usb music from power acoustik ptid 8920b. can it be fixed

Ignore the above comment... SD cards and USB play fine on there (i have one).
Mine does the same, but leave it for 5-10 seconds after it says close and it loads it up!

electric tape the wire to the metal on the top of the unit. thats it. ive had it that way for a year and its worked great

SOURCE: i have a power acoustik ptid-5850n, It will not play any cd, dvd, mp3, ect., it will not play anything except sd card, usb, and radio???

It sounds like your laser or or other part in your CD/DVD has issues. There isnt much you can do to self repair it. Hopefully its still under warranty.
