SOURCE: hotpoint wd62 washer dryier (aquarius 1200)

i am a retired engineer of 20 years, and its about a year since i worked on combination washer/dryers but if the heater elements fine and power comes from timer there must be cut out somewhere around where it should warm up, look all round the machine one may be hidden or hard to spot there maybe about 3 one of them one of them could be a trigger device (you can press a button to reset it) that style is a very small cube about the size of a sugar lump with2 spades on it, others look like a small flat oval or round shape the size of a five pence piece with 2 spade wires on them, remove the plug from wall and remove these spades and check the contacts for continuity, you need not remove from machine to do so, no circuit + no heat, replacement item not expensive, thats where to start based on the information given, check the sensors you mention again, it sounds like your so close, good luck and work safe

SOURCE: hotpoint freezer fza54 frost free,

Power off the freezer.

Remove all freezer drawers.

Remove the four screws retaining the ducting at the back of the freezer compartment. Top at the top, two at the bottom

Carefully pull the ducting out - it's located in the guide slots for the freezer drawers, and should pull out without too much drama.

This exposes the air circulating fan, and the evaporator coil (the bit that gets chilled).

In my case, despite a defrost of the frost-free section, the evaporator section was one massive chunk of ice. If you have similar, carefully defrost this, and check the drain hole at the bottom of the cavity.

Re-assemble, as reverse of above.

Mine's been trouble-free since doing this.

SOURCE: works for a few seconds then cuts out

After trying a known good cable, I would try it on another preamp (prefferably a medium or high quality one) with a known good phantom power supply and test it with that. Or just go to your local Guitar Center and ask the associate there to test it for you. They will be happy to oblige.

SOURCE: Hotpoint FFA71 fridge and freezer suddenly stopped working

Sounds as though the compressor has stopped working. It feeds both compartments with control from a printed circuit above the top door.Where all your red lights are ablaze! (This can be replaced by removing the 2 screws and "clicking" out the small panel) Check that the compressor is running at the bottom rear of the fridge/freezer before anything else.

The continuing saga of a Hotpoint Fridge / Freezer -- It has been stripped of the back panels and the motor did not work, however, after disconnecting the motor unit and wiring it direct to a 240v. socket,...

A 240 volt fridge/freezer? You must not be in the USA? What voltage is the fan, itself? If it is 240, as well, you might be missing one, of the legs. Both legs/wires usually have to have 120 volts. You need to check the voltage going to the fan. You may only be getting half the voltage to the fan, if it's 240, as well.

Freezer fan not running

Often times the defrost termination switch (which opens when it gets warm enough) will hold the fan off until it closes again when the freezer runs. It is possible that the switch is not closing, but be sure the freezer is getting cold enough for it to close.

You know the freezer is likely cold enough when you see frost covering the entire evaporator coil after a few hours of operation. A partial frost pattern could indicate low refrigerant, or a restriction of refrigerant.

The compressor works for a few seconds but then stops. The freezer is over temperature.

Check the condenser fan motor (next to compressor) make sure it is running. Next change relay (inside black box) on compressor.

Hotpoint FFA70P Fridge freezer. High Freezer temp.

can you check the resistance of the fan?..or even the voltage going to the fan ( just be carefull ) if there is presence of voltage, then the problem is the fan, if there is none, you have to trace why. if it has a diagram, you an trace it. or the switch could have been open that is why it is not running. push the door switch if it has one and check again for presence of voltage. i hope i was able to help.

FFA60 Hotpoint fridge/freezer Red warning light

if i read the english right, the compressor runs but the freezer fan only runs for a short time. no fan then no cooling. there is a fan stat so that the fan only runs when the evap is down to temp. this may be faulty. also on some hotpoint, the fan switches off when door opened. check door switch operating ok. this may also explain problem with fridge lamp
