Soft Reset will clear pending errors and bring your mobile to an initial state by restoring Factory setting. To operate this function on your mobile, the shortcut is: *#7380#
This function apparently works on almost all nokia mobile phones
SADLY a MOTOROLA dealer may be both your ONLY and LAST resort?...
IF you have a Ham Radio acquaintance he or she may know someone in 'the business' and perhaps they may introduce you?
Another possibility is you placing a AD in Craigslist (in you area) using almost the same words you used here.
98% of this stuff is 'Motorola Proprietary' so Motherolla can charge a fortune to EVERYONE who decides they "want and need the best "... Of course most other mfg are not far behind! HARRIS IS one *other* choice the feds and military LOVE to use... but they are $$$ and quite "secure".

(and photo 2) My example? I have a Motorola "XPR7550" with 2 chargers and 2 spare batteries! I CAN'T find anyone who will program it to ham radio frequencies and YIKES... how it kills me to see this awesome radio go to waste!
the phone has a glitch...try giving it to a motorola customer care service or sumthing....thats wat i did...and they fixed my motorola phone...u could try taking out the battery or resetting first
