My Frigidaire Side by side fridge is not cooling

So last year we moved. The fridge sat unplugged for about a year. Yesterday I set it up again and plugged it in. It was getting cold last night so I left it to run. I get up this morning, and its warm. The fans are running. The coil inside the freezer is not cold. The compressor won't turn on. i unplugged it a few times. The fuse in the control board seems to be good. What can I do? Frigidaire MODEL # PHSC239DSB5

It may be the thermost you can by pass it temporaly to see if the motor will start up again if it does replace thermostat

is it frozen up? do you have any air flow thru the air tunnel from the freeze to the fridge? Check your air flow with the door switch pushed in. also check to see if the damper door opens... 1) if it is iced up you have a defrost problem. most likely a defrost timer. Turn off or unplug untill all the ice has melted off the evaporator back of the freezer..plug back in and it will work fine untill the ice builds up again. if this work you do have a defrost problem.. if not let me know and we can go deeper...

SOURCE: Frigidaire stand alone Refrigerator won't cool Fans and Compressor work

Ended up having a freon leak in tubing around door. Luckly the warranty was 5 years in sealed system. New one was FREE.

The fan should be a standard 12v DC computer style fan , test that you are getting voltage to the fan connector . You should also be able to get the fan to run by connecting it to a suitable supply . Once you have eliminated the possibility of fan failure then it gets more involved.

you moved the fridge out from the wall and it started running again?try opening the fridge door and tap on the fridge control and see if it starts up.i,ve gone into houses and then the woman tells me when the fridge shuts down she hits the side and it runs again.it's the control,this could be your problem also,when you moved the fridge the control could have kicked back on.let me know what you find

We have a Frigidaire FRS202RG side by side fridge/freezer that is about 9 years old. In the last 3 months, it has begun frosting up in the bottom of the freezer with ice forming over the vents at the back....
Sounds like the fan behind the rear freezer panel has stopped working,therefore no air flow over evaporator coils causing ice built up and no cooling on refrigerator side. easy fix

Hello, You are more than likely having a freon issue.  The problem sounds like a filter drier restriction.  This could be a simple fix.   It will require some indepth time.

Locate the defrost timer and rotate the dial a small amount clockwise. If the compressor starts the timer should be replaced. If the compressor does not start check the temperature control. It may be bad, if it is bad try jumpering the thermostat wires. If it starts and runs the thermostat is bad. Replace the thermostat.

ALMOST DEFINATELY YOU WILL HAVE AN ELECTRONIC CONTROLLED AUGER(MOTOR)CONTROLLING THE AMOUNT OF CHILL ENTERING THE FRIDGE COMPARTMENT. IF YOU SET THE FRIDGE TO MINIMUM AND LISTEN CAREFULLY, THERE SHOULD BE A SOUND INDICATING THE AUGER IS WORKING.( OPENING AND CLOSING THE FLAP). SET TEMP. TO MAX AND LISTEN. IF NOTHING, IT COULS BE A DEFECTIVE MOTOR OR FAULTY THERMISTOR(TEMP. PROBE).
