SOURCE: Cleaning drip tray.

I have just removed the drip tray from my fridge freezer and it was relatively easy.

Do not remove the compressor unit.

The drip tray is held in place by a metal clasp which is welded to the top of the compressor. The clasp is a flat piece of metal which must physically twisted to align with the key way in the plastic drip tray. I used thin pair of pliers to grip the clasp and twist it clockwise to line up with the tray key way. The tray then has to be carefully manouvred off the compressor so as not to cause damage or spill it foul smelling contents. This I managed to achieve fairly easily.

Clean out and install then twist the clasp to clamp the tray into position. I don't know what would happen if you didnt lock the tray back in position as it does not seem capable of falling off on its own and it would be easier to remove next time.

Hope this makes sense
Mark

Why is "Drip Tray not fitted" message on screen?

If you cannot insert the drip tray as you have said above then the machine needs for you to find a way to insert the tray then the message should go. If the tray has an extra bucket on it for spent grounds then try removing that and just fitting the tray alone.

Can't get rid of drip tray missing

the basic solution is to clean the contacts at the back of the drip tray, they can easily become soiled. assuming you have done this the contact points in the coffee machine may also need cleaning. this can be done by gently rubbing fine sand paper on the contact where the drip tray contact are inserted. if problem still persists then the internal contacts may need replacing.

Cva 4070 drip tray issue

Miele CVA 4066 -Empty drip tray warning would not go off even after draining the drip tray, cleaning contacts, and resetting power. Water was coming out from under the empty tray.
I pulled unit out and removed sheet metal in rear around water inlet. when I attached water line and power cord & turned on power, I could see water dripping out of one of the 2 solonoids on the water inlet valve. $168.00 from Miele and no expensive service call.

How to remove and clean grease pan on Vermont Castings model 608SB

The drip tray is accessible from the rear of the Grill. It is necessary to lift up the pan slightly while pulling it out. Or depending on how old your VC grill is, it may be located on the left end of the grill (you should see a small handle). In which case you pull it out and was you reach the end of the drip tray, lift it up slightly to remove it.

TIP: To make clean up of the drip tray easier. Spread a thin layer of Speedy Dry (It's what NASCAR & garages use to soak up oil) on the bottom of the drip pan or tray. You can purchase a bag of it, at any auto parts store, When it comes time to clean the drip tray or pan. Just remove the tray or pan and dump the used Speedy Dry in the garbage. Then, spread a thin layer in it again. Actually, because the Speedy Dry absorbs so well, you'll find that you'll only have to dump the tray or pan occasionally.

Hope this helped you and Happy Grilling!!

I have a Miehl cva4070. My problem is twofold. 1. The unit seems to have lost its ability to recognize that the Drip Tray has been emptied. I have turned it off and back on, unplugged and restarted,...

take a long fingernail file that is a fine grit. hold it with a pair of needlenose pliers, and use it to clean the contacts in the back of the machine where the drip tray plugs in. You need to clean each contact top and bottom. you can tape the fingernail file to a ruler or pencil or whatever you need to so that you can reach the contacts. it is very tight as the opening is only an inch or so tall. dont go crazy with the file, just lightly touch each contact. also you can swap the two metal contacts on the drip tray. you will notice that they have little wear lines on them that are in different locations. if you swap them , they will be exposed to new surface. if that doesnt work, you may have an internal leak that is shorting the drip tray contacts from the back of the machine. If there is water back there, it is the same as the drip tray being full.

Saeco Espresso machine - Empty drip tray (all the time)

aye that is true if you click the coffe making button directly after you have had it out you will be able to make a cup, as the machine has a 2 second response time.

Ok here is what i think:
As it registers the driptray I dont think its the sensor to it.
More i would think that its the CPU card that is not responding to that its clean.

I am sry but I have to ask this:
When it says emptie the driptray are you actually taking out the container that is located under the brewing unit, and not the "drip tray" were you put the coffe mugs?

Also when i think i have a sensor problem I allways take out everything. Brewing unit, dripwater container, dregbox, and the watercontainer. and have it out for atleast 2 minutes ( clean it under the mean time) and put it back again.

As I dont have the machine infront of me i cant be certain:)
