SOURCE: i pulled on the crown and it came off the stem
Do not open the watch yet, as you do not know how to get the stem out.
Take an eyeglass and examine the crown. You will find the small hub in the centre of the crown. If the centre of this hub is hollow and you can see the thread in it- you will be able to screw it back on stem (all watch crowns are screwed on to stems, never pressed).
If the centre of that hub looks filled with metal, then the stem end is broke and you will need replace stem AND crown (the metal filling the hub is the broken end of stem).
In case if the crown still in tact, let me know by asking questions and I'll guide you through all the process HOW TO.

SOURCE: My crown fell off the stem of my Gucci watch. How
If you still have the crown you may be able to put it back on yourself. However for a secure repair you would need a watchmaker to repair this.
To try yourself get some RED locktite (available at any Ace hardware store or automotive store) Put a small amount on the threads of the crown. Then screw the crown onto the stem as much as possible.
Let it sit for about 10 minutes so the locktite can cure. Then you can try using it to set the time or whatever.
If this does not work you will need a watchmaker to repair this.
Prices to fix this would vary.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: How do I remove the crown/stem.
To remove the stem you must first loosen the set lever screw, then you can pull the stem out.
You only need to turn the set lever screw a couple turns to release the stem. Some movements use a button instead and in that case you would simply push the button down lightly with a pointed tool and while holding the button down pull the stem out.
For watches with one-piece cases where the movement comes out the dial side and the case has no removable back, you will not be able to get at the set lever screw. For this type of watch you must grasp the crown firmly and pull it out, or use plastic or soft brass tweezers to get behind the crown and pop it off. These watches have two-piece stems that have male and female ends that snap together. Then remove the bezel and let the movement come out into your hands. Then remove the hands and the dial and put the movement face down into a movement holder.
