Dryer not powering on

It can really only be two things.

The element or wiring to it has failed
or
The Thermal fuse has been overheated and cut off power.

Both can be checked with a Digital Multimeter.

If your Amana dryer is not heating, it likely has either a defective heating element, thermal fuse, high-limit thermostat, or cycling thermostat. If you have a gas dryer, it is likely not heating because of a defective gas valve solenoid.

The fuse is mounted on the heater element. When it blows nothing in the heater or motor circuit works but the power to the timer is not interrupted therefore you can hear. Service manual

door switch may be bad

That means no power is getting to the gas assembly. The number one suspect would be the fuse which mounts directly on the blower housing right next to the control thermostat.
