SOURCE: I have frigidaire gas free standing oven

If the bake ignitor comes on (starts glowing after a few seconds) - check the amperage on the bake ignitor wires when it's on. If the ignitor is a round style - amperage should be 2.5-3A, if the ignitor is rectangular - 3 - 3.6A. If less than 2.5A or 3A respectively - replace ignitor.
Ignitor part numbers for round style ones: 4342528, WB2X9154, SGR403, 5304401265;
rectangular styles: 12400035, WB13K21, WB2X9998, SGR412, NR020, 5303935066, 814269, 9753108.
Ignitors of the same shape (i.e. rectangular) are interchangeable, if you can splice the wires.

Good luck!

How do I turn the volume down or turn off the beep from my Frigidaire Gallery 5.0 cu. ft. Gas Range when the oven reaches its intended temperature?

As copied from the manual.

Setting a silent control panel
When choosing a function, a beep will be heard each time a pad is pressed. If desired, the control can be programmed for silent operation. Press and hold (start/time) . After 7 seconds, the control will beep once. This will block the controls from sounding when a pad is pressed. To return the sound, press and hold (start/time) again for 7 seconds until the control beeps once

NOTE!
The OVEN indicator light on the electronic display will turn ON and OFF when using the Bake feature and during preheat. This is normal and indicates that the oven is cycling to maintain the selected baking temperature. When the preheat indicator light turns OFF, your oven is ready.

My Frigidiare model GLES388DSA will not bake or broil

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand your Frigidaire range, model# GLES388DSA, will not bake or broil. I suggest resetting your range, by either unplugging it or shutting the power of at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and try preheating your oven. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand you are trying to change the dual element control on your Frigidaire range, model# PLES389ECH. Typically, this is not a do it yourself job, as there are no step by step instruction manuals. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They have been trained on your particular appliance and should be able to change the dual element control with ease. Hope this is helpful.

The oven preheats, but then "cools down" before I

Most likely the problem is your bake element. When the oven is preheating it uses both the bake and the broil element. When it's done preheating it uses only the bake element, so the broil element is heating it up, and since the bake element is not working the temperature drops until it starts preheating again.
