SOURCE: 4-port usb kvw switch #GCS634U

The GCS634U is designed and tested to work only with a standard USB keyboard and mouse. However, most wireless keyboards and mice work with it, but they cannot guarantee any specific model or brand that would work correctly.

As you can see, this KVM switch is a bus powered device (meaning it only gets power from the USB ports of the computers). If the computer cannot provide enough power for the KVM switch to function correctly, then the wireless keyboard will be affected.

You may try using the IOGEAR GKM541RA. It's tested to work with the GCS634U. Or you may also try using a self-powered USB hub (meaning, it has it's own power adapter) and connect it in between the KVM switch and the computer. That self-powered USB hub will be the one that will add up power to the KVM switch and help it to function properly.

Can i use wireless mouse from a keyboard and mouse set with another type of keyboard? wireless mouse #98614

The new keyboard should have come with a new sensor (usually attached to a USB plug). This should be factory-set to your new keyboard - it's not likely to work with the old sensor. So get rid of the old one - throw it in a drawer and forget about it!

Can I use another USB receiver from the same model (988614) with my keyboard and mouse?

You can try removing the batteries from the keyboard and mouse. Leave them out for ten minutes or so, and then replace them and try again. If they are the exact same components, it should work. The manufactures use what's know as "firmware" in the products. It's basically the same as software, but it's downloaded into the ICs,(electronics parts) with your keyboard and mouse. They new combination may not work because of differing firmware, but it's certainly worth a try.

Good luck!

GE MODEL 28112 DECT 6.0 CORDLESS PHONE

I contacted GE today and they told me how to get the caller ID to work on the additional handsets. You must follow these steps in the exact order given.

#1 - unplug the base phone
#2 - unplug the telephone line from the base phone
#3 - remove the battery packs from the phones
#4 - wait 10 minutes.

reverse the order when assembling. Put battery packs in phones, put the telephone line back in the base phone and lastly plug all phones back in. It takes about another 10 minutes after that before all phones start recognizing caller ID but it now works fine.
