My Janome is a high shank 9 mm but I want to be able to use the 7 mm feet I already have.

If your machine has a presser foot sensor, it's likely a 7mm will not be accepted. Even if it does work, you will need to be careful to not set the stitch width wider than the 7mm will allow.

If you contact Janome HQ in your country, they should be able to tell you which dealer is closest to you, and the part number of the ruffler foot to suit the MC 9000......

You are trying to attach a long shank foot to a short shank machine. Look for a short shank foot on either Ebay. You may also find it included within a "tin" of accessories at a local thrift shop. If neither of these options work for you check with your local fabric store or sewing machine repair shop for the correct button foot.
