I have a 2003 kia spectra with fault codes 1529 and 0717 what do they mean

There is not anything a car owner can do to fix this.
P0717 = input/turbine speed circuit no signal
The P1529 code is a request from the trans computer to turn in the check engine light.
Where did you get codes? the tech should have told what they are. Google your codes the are readily available. take car and have transmission repaired.
