SOURCE: SET UP VIERA LINK PANASONIC PT960

The first question you need to answer would be, "Does your TV support Viera Link?" Most newer Panasonic TVs and other A/V devices support it, but it's hit or miss (usually miss) with other brands. I know Onkyo is one brand that has stepped up and offered Viera Link support on some of its devices, but I'm not sure about others. If your LG brand TV doesn't support Viera Link, you are out of luck and you'll have to rely on seperate remotes for the TV and home theater. If your TV does support Viera Link, the next question would be, "Are you using HDMI to connect the devices?" Viera Link can only communicate over HDMI (not component video, S-video, coaxial, composite, digital optical audio, etc.) If either of the aforementioned questions were answered "no", you can still connect your devices and use them normally, but you won't get the benefit of Viera Link communication between the devices. In that case you will likely have to keep using separate remotes.

SOURCE: I have a Panasonic SA-PT960 surround sound/dvd

Hi! the chgr err code indicates one of you trays is stuck inside the dvd tray unit. this occurs typically when the reader is initializing the last disk viewed and you push the exchange disk button. This happened already twice on my system. I did solve the problem by opening the unit and removing all components until I could access the trays and manually release the mechanism. I only recommend doing so if the player is out of warranty and if you are not afraid on working with small electronic/ components parts. I could not find any other non-invasive solution to the problem.

I had to replug things in for my dish and unit sat sidewards to get to plugs. It now says locked and can eject disc, select source. Help

Try this:

Press and hold [?] (Stop) on the main unit and [>10] on the remote control until "INITIALIZED" disappears from the TV. Turn the unit off and on again.

All settings should return to the default values.
Not saying it will work though!

How to connect a blue ray player with the sc pt760 sound system with dvd?

According to the models you provided it looks like the DVD player has only HDMI out and the sound system you have does not directly support that. I would suggest purchasing a HDMI audio extractor so that you can covert the digital signal from your blu-ray to an analog signal. However, there are other ways of doing this. If you provide me with your TV that you use I might be able to advise another work around.

Go on google and look for "hdmi audio converter" or "hdmi audio Extractor".

Make sure to look at review to determine the quality of the product and decide what device fits your budget.

I have a Panasonic SA-PT960 surround sound/dvd player. Whenever I turn it on I get a chgr err flashing on the screen and a loud grinding noise

There is a fault with the DVD Changer and the noise is the gears grinding. This is a common fault with these units as a small arm within the unit breaks and blocks the mechanism.

You can either try and replace the complete DVD Changer or remove it and just us it as a surround sound system with your auxiliaries connected to it.
