Where can I get a plastic lower guard replacement for a 10 inch sliding compound miter saw kobalt brand?

Hello, John -

I am not finding a replacement lower guard for your model of Kobalt miter saw for sale online.

In the owner's manual for the Kobalt miter saw model SM2507LW (Kobalt is owned by Lowe's), I found the following information on the last page (page 50):
(Quote)
For replacement parts, call our customer service department at 1-888-3KOBALT (1-888-356-2258)
(End quote)

Note: All the parts and their part numbers are listed in the owner's manual: pages 41-48.

Therefore, I suggest you call the Kobalt Customer Service number and ask about the availability of the needed part. From the Kobalt Contact Us information, Customer Service is available Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (Eastern Time.)

Best wishes,

Replacing blade guard on a 1700W sliding mitre saw

There is an upper (fixed) blade guard and a lower (moving) blade guard which has the added complication of being connected to a linkage or mechanism to swivel the guard away from the workpiece as it approaches the cut.

Mostly careful inspection, once the blade has been removed, will show removal of the guards to be a faily intuitive process. It is inevitable some makes of saw will be more complex and in the absence of official detailed instructions, it will mean a process of removing clips and screws until the part falls off and then remembering what you did so you can put it back together with no parts left over.

Where do I get a bushing for the guard on a 10 inch mcculloch mitre saw

You probably mean a Milwaukee mitre saw. McCulloch does not make a mitre saw. Go to eReplacementparts.com and enter your make and model number. If they don't have it, its probably not available anywhere. You'll have to go to a machine shop instead. Look it the yellow pages for "Machine Shop".

HOW DO I CHANGE THE BLADE ON A 36-070C MITRE SAW

Not sure about the Delta. I've had both a Craftsman and a Dewalt. On both of those, the pivoting plastic guard pivots on a plate on the side of the metal guard. The plate isnt easy to see. You rotate the plastic guard all the way open and you see the edge of the plate held in place by a screw. Remove the screw and the plastic guard and the hub along with the plate it's mounted on can lift up an half inch or so--far enough to get the blade screw off the arbor.
There's a push button somewhere that locks the blade from turning so you can turn the screw in the center of the arbor with a wrench.

I have a 10"DELTA Miter Saw and need to change blade. Please describe how to remove and replace blade. Thanks

Without a model number I cant look for this saw, but if it is like the other mitre saws that I work on, the lower guard should have a bolt holding it in place, loosen the bolt so you can move the guard and the blade bolt is usually LH thread, on the backside of the gearcase by the blade there should be a spindle lock, rotate blade until it locks and then remove bolt. If your saw is different please give me the model number and I will pull up a schematic and look at it.
