I don't agree Lawrence..There is a service flyer on this model set for backlight failure as they are running 3.8 volts on a 3.3 volt LED and they fail quite often making part of the screen darker..only way to tell is pull the panel apart and power the set up, and yes you can do this with the cable unhooked going to the panel and not hurt anything and see if you see some lamps in the panel that don't light.

SOURCE: Just bought a 55" DP55D44 Sanyo TV, and the picture seems to be showing fuzzy. How can adjust this?
The fuzziness is radio noise from space. No I am not kidding. It's from the background radio spectrum of the universe's creation and it is uniform and OMNI-directional, so it will always appear as snowy noise that is fuzzy in appearance. You can't remove this noise unless you connect a signal from a TV station or cable that is much stronger in strength than this noise. If you mean that a TV signal comes in and appear fuzzy, it is because this TV signal is very weak and you need a better antenna to increase the signal gain. Hope this helps.
Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

In some models of LCD TVS; the backlight inverter and its T'Con board will be a part of the panel itself, and will be a built-in type inside the LCD panel. If so, they can't be replaced. In this case; a panel replacement is the only repair. For some other models, the backlight inverter section circuit will be a part of the main power supply regulator [SMPS]. To such sets, the power supply section circuit too should trouble shoot. Contact any service technician. The circuit will differ with models and versions.
If the back-light is provided with CCFL lamps [not LED}; replace the CCFL lamps.
