make sure that you're not using a cable box. then when you do the channel scan, make sure that you pick cable instead of antena.

I am trying to get air tv with digital antea and i dont get any thing when I go to Dtv. i get no signal at top of screen and I can not scann for channels
there is a dtv board inside. you may need to change the board or it may just not be connecting properly clean the connector and see if it works then they can come lose when tv is move about.

Is the protron PLTV 3250 a digital tv?I cant find the manual and I just want to find out if the tv is digital and can we use it with the new digital transition.
The SpectronIQ and the Proton is the same TV.

Spectroniq PLTV-20NW32 volume only works on some channels
Hi lisadean767,
It is possible that without realizing, your TV is programmed to receive SAP or Second Audio Program audio. When this happens, your TV responds like this: when SAP is not being broadcast, you'll receive regular program audio. However, when the SAP audio is sent along with the regular, (English) program audio, your TV will automatically switch to the SAP channel. You'll know your TV is programmed to receive SAP because you'll hear the commercials in English and any other program in English if the SAP is not being sent. 

 Check and see if your tv is setup for SAP. Let me know if this helps and if I can be of further assistance, Please rate this solution.
