SOURCE: Screen goes off after every 2 secs. Pls help

You could have a defective screen - a defective inverter or a CCFL lamp or simply the video cable needs reseating. After reseating the video cable and the problem is still there then :- To determine if you have a LCD screen or video card problem, read this and follow the instructions. Defective CCFL backlight, it may have the following symptom: Screen flashs on red/pink and off. Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal. Picture flickering with dim display or appear black. Picture flickering on and off. All these symptoms indicate that the LCD backlight lamp (CCFL Lamp) has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replacing the CCFL lamp Connect an external monitor to your laptop and power it up, if you see the normal Windows images then the video card and laptop is OK and the problem is definitely the backlight. Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case. The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills. Check out www.lcdparts.net for parts, repair service and DIY info.

It is telling you that it is not getting he signal from your video card, so please check to make sure the VGA cable and all the pins at both end of the connectors are OK, try reseating the video card. Try this monitor with other PC. We need to narrow down the problem. Please post back what you find.

2. Next time, your screen goes blank / white, shut off the mobile voluntarily, restart the phone and press reset button.
3. This will fix the problem. Caution: You may lose all your data.

SOURCE: SANYO DS31820 POWERS UP FOR

Hello, Unless the power supply is a separate board it is not available by itself. Looking a a partial parts list, there seems to be one main board inside this TV. The part number is 610 300 2125 and the price is 430 dollars(seems to be available from www.partstore.com). Your best bet is to locate the defective components in the power supply circuit or get the TV inspected by a qualified tech.

I have a RCA Projection screen TV Mod#P52754AT Ser#643580021. Will not power on with or without remote. Minor trouble shooting performed. Pls any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Ken

First thing I would verify is that power is being sent to the TV.
Check circuit breakers ect.
If you have a multi-meter verify there is AC voltage at the outlet the TV is plugged into.

If you do have voltage the next step is to verify the power supply / HV spliter is sending voltage.
Below is quick video on how to do that.
If components are bad, replace or repair them.
If it is good your problem requires more complex troubleshooting and a circuit diagram.

Be sure to check the output transistor. This is the most likely the cause. It is by the flyback, on a heatsink.

W/supply voltage fuse is ok w/output voltage no supply voltage on fly back

Very likely the flyback is bad. Most CRT sets have an SCR clamping circuit that "crowbars" or shunts power if the voltages on the flyback outputs are not within spec.

Won't turn on

What you have there is a V27 Chassis manufatured in 1999..
But it is the same chassis that was later used in their WS55517 65517 and 73517... Regardless of the outcome here are some common caps that ALWAYS need to be replace:
C979 2.2uf 200v
C531 2.2uf 160v
C551 2.2uf 160v
C981 22uf 50v
C402 47uf 35v

Now to your problem, it could be a number of things. The regulator could be suspect, (Ic951 which is a STRF6628) but you might try the following before taking any gunshot approaches. This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input/device and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source) 1. MAY BE INTERMITTENT, SELF-DIAGNOSIS ERROR 23 OR 24. CHECK SOLDER CONNECTIONS AT CONNECTOR "DY" ON THE YOKES. 2. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF-DIAGNOSIS ERROR 23 OR 24. CHECK C411 2200 UFD 35 V AND C412 10 UFD 50 V, BOTH LOCATED ON THE MAIN PCB.
Hope this helps!

Screen split with black bar through center, top of picture shows in bottom

It sounds as you desribe, the vertical output IC and or the b+ feed capacitor off the Hi voltage transformer feeding the vert. IC its required voltage. Not a really hard job to replace, but not for a handi person to do. This should be left to the professional, as there are no user serviceable parts inside this set and with the HI voltage and the safety issues its best to call somesone to assist you with this repair. Good Luck
