However ceiling has stains. Can we get it painted without hesitation or do we have call the plumber to check if there are any leaks?
You need to leave if for a few weeks to dry out. or put a heater in room to help dry the dsmp patch, air flow heater. one with a fan.
Hi there
I suggest you first make sure there are no any leaks. And before applying paint it's better to prime you ceiling first. It will cover the stains and paint will bond better. Check this wood primers buyer guide https://woodimprove.com/best-wood-primers to find the best option for your ceiling.
Hope this helps.
Hello, Linda -
After allowing time for the drywall to dry out, paint over the stained area with a stain blocking primer. We used Kilz on the water stains on our living room ceiling after the leaks from our roof were repaired.
If the stained area of the drywall was replaced, you may still wish to use a primer first before painting the ceiling.
See more information on primers here:

Best wishes.

SOURCE: old crane toilet, leak between tank and toilet, need new gasket.
You might try looking in an hardware store, or a plumbing shop that has been in business for a long time. Sometimes they have parts that can't be found elsewhere. I would take the old seal with you, if you still have it.
SOURCE: Lasco whirlpool tub leaks. Water runs out on
Sorry, the tub will have to pulled out to find out what is leaking so it can be fixed. There is just no other way UNLESS you can open up the wall on the blind side of the tube. (but its probably and exterior wall...if the house is vinyl sided, it can be done. If brick, you'll have to pull the tub). If you just wanted to convert to a tub only, maybe Bathfitters has an insert solution...
SOURCE: bathroom drain pipe has no threads
As long as the pipe inside the wall does not leak, then yes , you are on the right track. Bathroom drains are typically 1 1/4 diameter. A large nut and washer would go over the pipe coming from the wall. The nut and washer would mate up with a pipe that has threads on it. Typically, a trap is what connects to the wall drain, and the pipe from the sink connects to the trap. You need a trap in the setup so sewer gasses do not enter up through the drain. The trap "traps" water at the elbow which prevents these gasses from escaping.
There are drain parts for both brass and plastic pipe. Also, there are numerous configurations of drain piping that are available (home depot, Lowe's). Once you look at the various configurations, I think you will understand how the drain piping setup works. Once you put the pipes together and you have a joint leak, try using some Teflon pipe tape around the joint to seal it. Wind the tape in a clockwise direction (tighten). The plastic washers have a taper or bevel side which seats into the inner bell of the mating pipe.
I hope this is helpful...
SOURCE: Increase water in toilet tank-low flush Toto toilet
Yes adjust the float level to raise the amount of water in the tank, If you have a float that is a ball around the tank you will have to turn the water off and remove the hose from the tank and remove the nut then pull the water float device out and you will see a clap on the bottom of the float you will turn the float base so that it gets longer, increase it by two inchess so that you increase water flow. Reinstall into the tank hook it all back up and leave the lid off turn on the water and watch the water level rise be sure the float shuts the water off before it over flows, if it starts to over flow then fush it to bring the water down giving you enought time to shut off the water valve.
There is a problem adding low water systems to older septic systems. The septic pipe settles in the ground over time and may cause a ~~~ in the pipe thus causeing blockage. For future reference you can add a one gallon bottle of water in the tank like a milk jug or a used up bottle of puerified water that you have drank and this will decrease it by one gallon per flush. Hope this helps. If you need more asstance just posttothis reply!
SOURCE: Porcher 6.0 Lpf / 1.6 toilet. Plumber said he
Try replacing the flapper, they are cheap and so long as the tank and or bowl are not cracked you can replace all of the internal parts and basically have a brand new toilet much cheaper then replacing the entire unit. Go down to your local hardware store and everything you need is in one simple kit with very simple instructions. Good Luck.
