How to breakdown the age of your Whirlpool Appliance via the Serial Number:

The vin number is the model year. If the door tag says manufactured in '06, usually given as month and year, would be actually manufactured in late '06 as an '07 model car. Actual date of manufacture is often important in ordering parts, as modifications can occur during that model year's production run.

Year of manufacturer is suppose to be stamped on the frame. The year of manufacture is not necessarily the 'model year' which is the year which the motorcycle was first sold. Thus, it is possible to have a 2011 motorcycle (on the title) that was actually manufactured in 2010 or even years earlier.

Your washer was manufactured in March of 1993. The manufacture date is determined by the Serial Number. The second letter "C" represents the YEAR of manufacture. The first two numbers "14" represent the WEEK it was manufactured. The 14th week puts the manufacturing in late March. I hope this helps you.
