Hello, Joan -

I hope you have the user manual / instructions for your NexxTech weather station model 6311598. If so, I suggest you check the instructions on how to re-calibrate the sensor. See general information on weather station sensor maintenance (generic) here:
https://www.weathershack.com/static/ed-sensor-maintenance.html

I was hoping to find the home page for NexxTech (in hopes some troubleshooting information would be available), but it seems the company went out of business prior to 2015; maybe around 2003. (At least the trademark renewal for NexxTech was not filed by 27 Mar 2015.) NexxTech was a subsidary of InterTAN Canada Ltd., of Barrie, Ontario, Canada.

If you need an owner's manual / instructions for your weather station, so far, I have not found a website where I feel you (or anyone else) can safely download a manual (meaning: I don't trust the web sites where I found "download links" because I suspect malware will be installed on your computer with the download.)

There are some online discussion forums regarding weather stations. You may choose to register (free) on one or more of those forums and ask for help regarding resetting your NexxTech weather station properly. These are links to 2 forums I found:

Although operation forced to stop when abnormality detected, emergency operation is possible for certain errors (refer to Error Codes Table) by using remote controller or Auto Switch at indoor unit. However, the remote controller signal receiving sound is changed from one "beep" to four "beep" sounds.
