I have the same problem. I used to place plastic wrap on top and still use the old cracked lids. Now, I cannot find my instruction booklet. Can you help me?
I just picked up a used GM5 at a thrift store, and 2 of the lids say "Ball", a popular brand used for canning. I would bet they are replacement lids, so that is where I would start looking. In the event that no replacement can be found, I would give "Press and Seal" plastic wrap a shot. The stuff is AMAZING. Now, I have no manual for my machine, and I hear you do.... if I were to ask nicely, would you send a copy my way? Please?
