Water leaking frigidaire frs23h5as

My frigidaire leaks water all over the floor. I think it is coming from inside, because water freezes at the bottom of the freezer under the basket. It builds up pretty good and freezes the basket as well. In the very back of the freezer there is a hump and a small metal pan that sits there and a drain hole. I think that is where the water is coming from. The drip pan underneath is bone dry and looks like the hose is there in place. Any comments?

Yes remove the rear panel in the freezer where you see the drain hole. Clear the ice from the drain hole. It will take a while for the water to start to drain because the ice is deep in the insulation. A small tube is helpful to draw some hot water in and stick in in the drain hole and squirt the hot water down in the hole.

Sometimes I see water under it. And the pan is always dry. Is there a clog somewhere in the line?

Hello,
The water is from the melted frost of the defrost cycle. The drain at the bottom of the back wall of the freezer is blocked so instead of the water draining into the pan where it will evaperate,it's pooling on the freezer floor and freezing, in many case when the floor indent is full the water will leak onto the floor.By pulling the refrigerator out from the wall, there will be a tube behind the service panel on the right side when looking at it from the rear, that tube can be removed and cleared, then clear the nozzle it connects to inside the freezer.

I hope this helps you to stop the leak,
Gene

Water is leaking in the bottom of the freezer, also coils are freezing up with ice, this problem is causing water to leak onto the floor from the freezer

when the cold coil is freezing up this is caused by a failed defrost system ( a bad heater or terminator . or the aditive defrost control . it also will freez the drain in the back of the freezer and this will cause the water to end up on the floor . . i would defrost the frig and repl the terminator . the heate is usualy good . and if problem comes back then replace the a d c . // the a d c pt # 241508001 and the terminator 5303918214 . this is a very common problem .. mm hope this helped and thanks for using fix ya ..

Water setteling on bottom of freezer side and freezing also leaking. 2 fridges both doing the same thing . leaking on the inside and freezing and underneath water is leaking.

Clean out the defrost drain. There is a drain in the freezer that lets all the defrost water run under the fridge. If that gets clogged then all the water runs into the freezer and can even leak onto the floor

Water leaking onto floor when defrosting automatically

There are many reasons for this happening for example water leaking from a water supply line for the dispenser or ice maker, a crack in the defrost pan, water leaking inside and draining through the refrigerator cabinet, but most are cased by a defrost drain line blockage. Below is a link that may be helpful so try to take it all in and use the parts that most refer to your specific problem, Thanks Sea Breeze HOW TO FIX A LEAKING REFRIGERATOR OR FREEZER

Water collecting and freezing in bottom of freezer

Hi, Remove the rear inside panel of the freezer and locate the drain hole under the evaporator coil. Remove the ice and flush the drain hole with hot water to make sure it is free. You can try running a soft wire through the drain also.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Water leak

What's happening is when the fridge goes into defrost water goes thru the drain and is seeping into the crack by the damper which will run into the fridge section.  Why?  The drain doesn't come down far enough for all the water to go down the drain tube.  Frigidaire has a new drain that is longer and will prevent this problem.
