SOURCE: oil capacity of engine crankcase on 2007 Honda VTX 1800 C

The factory fill is 4.3 litres. Thats new empty lines...etc.
3.75 to 3.9 quarts is a normal drain.
Heres a link for the complete service manual on the VTX 1800C
It's a big download about 50MB in PDF format
Hope this helps...ride safe and ride smart.

Then it is flooding itself. You need to rebuild the carb and check your float level. Make sure to replace the needle and seat also because when they wear it will cause the engine to flood. I am 98% sure that will fix your problem!

SOURCE: 40 hp mariner outboard 2 stroke oil leak at

without seeing it in front of me its difficult to advise,i had a mercury but it wasnt oil injection so i iam not sure exactly how this injection system works but i should imagine its nothing more than a O ring thats perished or a copper washer needs cleaning with some wet and dry.I bought a new 4stroke mercury in the end because i got fed up with fuel consumption from the 80hp two stroke ,this four stroke 50hp will do about 12 14 nautical miles to roughly 6/7 litres of petrol at about 1200 rpm because iam only a sunday driver and the bumping on the waves makes my back ache unbearable,Well this is the land of fiesta /siesta /manaña --spain .Have a closer look and see where its leaking its only a mechanical pump running off the engine ,so it will have a push rod with some sort of diaphragm that pumps a tinysquirt of oil into the crankcase so it can mix with the incoming fuel ,nothing complicated

My 2007 mercury mariner premier gas gauge is not reading, just 2 month s ago I replaced the fuel pump as well. What could it be??

Check the electrical connector at the tank first, it may be loose. While you have the tank down, you can pull the sender, check for any obstructions, plug it in, and manually move the float with the key on to check the gauge circuit.

Help with my aprilia AF1 125?

Congratulations. You have just purchased a very high performance 2 stroke 125cc from a very talented Italian manufacturer. A two stroke engine needs 2T oil to be mixed with the fuel before it is fed into the engine. This is a cumbersome job and one has to get the ratio just right. So in order to make the job easier you have two tanks. 1) The regular fuel tank & 2) A small capacity 2T oil tank (made of plastic mostly) which is hidden behind a side panel. In order to give a regular dose of 2T oil there is a tiny oil pump attached to the side of the engine. This oil pump has to be actuated simultaneously when the carb slide is actuated. Hence the banjo. So now you know why the throttle cable splits into 2. One goes to the carburator and other to the oil pump. Good luck and enjoy your bike sensibly.,,,
