First thing you need to do is empty the water out so you can remove the clothes and do some trouble shooting.
The way to remove the water is to lift the flexible hose out of the discharge pipe at the wall and lower it into a bowl on the floor. You may have to raise the hose a few times to be able to empty the bowl. Once empty you should be able to open the door.
Its quite possible the pump is at fault and that should be your next move. Most machines have a flap at the front bottom corner to access the pump unit. Open the flap and remove the access to the pump. Take care to place a tray under for any water spillage. You should now be able to assess the situation. Not unusual for matchsticks/ hairgrips and even bra wires to be found.
Once clean replace the cover and rear hose and test the machine.

SOURCE: Bosch Classixx 1000: Won't drain

The Solution: Top up the softener tray with extra water so that it is up to the 'max level' mark.

The softener tray works by a siphon action. Thus, the reason the tray does not empty is that not enough water is added by the machine during the softening cycle, so that the machine does not completely fill the softening tray; only when the softening tray is filled beyond the 'max' mark does the siphon action works. A partially filled tray will never empty - it's impossible due to the siphon.

The reason that not enough water is added to the tray during the softening action is that the water inlet of the machine is partial blocked (you can try to fix that) but it is simpler to just added more water to the conditioner tray.

Thus, the easiest way to ensure that the softener tray empties every time (after adding the softener to the softener tray of course) is to top up the softener tray with extra water, top it up to the 'max level' line (keep a bottle of water by the machine). That way, even if only a little water is added to the softener tray during the softening cycle by the machine it is enough to trigger the siphon action and the tray will empty!

Works for me every time, and no need to remove any parts - I used to take the tray out, clean it, scrub the outlet holes that fill the tray etc, but they used to gum up again quite quickly!

Hope that helps

SOURCE: Bosch classixx 1000 washing machine - stops on spin

Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x

Have a AEG Lavamat Turbo wash dryer that stalls mid cycle full of water and code 21

E21 means a blockage in the drain pump.
I would check the impeller spins freely. A coin from a pocket can cause that error as it gets stuck in the impeller.

Error code e18 Siemens washing machine

Hi Cleopatra, e18 error code is a drain problem. Probably a sock or other debris clogging the filter. You can drain the machine by removing the access cover in front of the washer. using the small hose to drain any water into a shallow baking dish or use a wet vac to collect the water coming from the hose. Once the water has drained, lay a bath towel in front of the machine and slowly unscrew the filter and clean it out then put the filter back in and test the washer using a rinse and spin cycle. Don't forget to replace the plug in the drain hose before you start the test. Hope that helps.

My machine a Bosch excel vario keeps displaying E18 and flashes and keeps pipping I canot get the door open tried two washes

E18 indicates a time out draining.

I'm assuming it's stopped full of water.
Put the machine on spin only and see if it empties and spins.

After that you'll need to check it over.

It's very likely there is a blockage preventing the machine draining.

It can also be a faulty pump or control board but this is less likely.

It's a lot of work but try the following.
Check the drain hose where it connects to the house drains.
If onto a connection, take the hose off and check both for a blockage.

This is normally under the sink.

If ok, you'll need to manually remove the remaining water from the machine.

Put a shallow dish in front of the filter/pump cover. (Bottom front of the machine)

Slacken the cap a little to drain the water.

If there is a draining tube, use that to empty the water.
Tighten the cap to stop the water when you need to empty the container.
(If you pull the machine out and tilt it rearward, you can get a larger container in place for a while).

Once the machine is empty of water, take the cap off.
Clean out any debris in there.

Once cleaned out, take the laundry out of the machine.
With the cap off, put the machine on spin only. (If it resets).

Listen at the open filter to see if the pump is running.
(You should see the pump impellor rotating)
If the pump isn't running, let me know.

If the pump is running, refit the cap and try the machine again.

Hi my zanussi zwf1432s stopped halfway through washing green light on start/pause button flashs wont do nothing else all lights will change when cyle chosen but will not start justs beeps then back to...

Hello Paula,
Do not know how many flashes but 1green/1red = 11 water pressure low.
2green/1red = 21 blocked filter or pump fault.
You would be best firstly checking the filter and make sure it is clean and pump turns.with water drained and filter out shine torch into filter put on spin/drain and see if pump blade spins if not then try and turn with long screwdriver to free out any debris then refit filter and check for leaks and try donnt fill fully until you are happy it can drain water.
Hope I was of some help.

Good Luck

Bosh Washing Machine F18 fault

I also had this problem - the machine was full of water and it flashed up F18. I had to drain the water out of the machine using the small pipe located next to the drain filter. There was loads of water to drain out. I used my oven roasting tray which was perfect for the job. Then I undid the screwcap filter. There was a lot of really black water that came out, along with about two pounds worth of coins and some hairgrips. Now my machine works perfectly !
