Yes, it is safe to leave an Igloo ice machine when it is full. However, if you plan to leave the ice in the machine for an extended period, it is recommended to transfer the ice to a freezer to prevent melting and refreezing, which can cause the ice to clump together.

SOURCE: Igloo model ICE108. Why does the ice full light stay on when there is no ice in the basket?

Because the ice level sensor is stuck in the full or up position. As long as it is there, the ice maker is shut off and will make no ice.

SOURCE: Hello, I have a portable ice maker model 102C igloo . the machine turns on but will not continue the cycle and the ice full red light comes on. Any answers to this problem are welcome.

The tray full may be triggered or stuck or another problem may exist. Look for what senses the ice being full and also check with Curtis support:
(another person was tld to do this and it workd:
1. turn machine on . 2. press the select button for 10 sec. then 3. press the power button for 10 sec. and then turn off the machine and unplug it for 6 hours.

I included some links for your convenience. Good Luck

Igloo countertop ice machine says tray is full when empty and will not make ice

Hi I had the exact same issue after about a year of running my igloo ice maker non stop. To fix it I held in the on/off button and select button at the same time for about 30 sec and TADA!! Back to making ice.
If that doesn't work I've also read to leave machine unplugged for 6 hrs and then hold in on/off button for 10 seconds. Good Luck!!!!

Ice full light continues to be on, will not make ice

Make sure the small emitter that sends a beam through the ice bucket to read ice height is not blocked or dirty...

My portable ice maker is not making ice, when turned on it shows ice full, but there is no ice in it. Any advice?

it seems the sensor is jammed or malfunctioning, fooling the control section and keeping the machine from working.
I don't know the machine but the sensor detecting the full ice section is either mechanical or a thermistor (electronic). Locate the sensor and make sure it is in position to sense or simply messing with it may make it work again.
Igloo may have a troubleshooting section in their website.

Keeps saying icefill but no ice

I searched forever for an answer to this and never found one. So this is what I did when you take the cover off on the left hand side there are two switches with two wires coming from.each switch. Then in the same group of wires the is two slightly larger wires one red one black. Those wires go to the optic eye that tells the machine is full. Cut and splice these teo wires together coming from the circuit board this will tell the machine it is empty and should make ice. Worked for me. It just doesn't cut off on its own whenever its full.

Ice full when no ice portable ice maker

There is some sort of arm that fits into the ice tray; when the ice fills up the tray the arm is pushed up and a switch connected to it will open the circuit and prevent any future ice maker operation(s). That switch has to be closed for unit to work!
