8002D won't stitch

If you are using the correct needle and it is brand new but still not stitching, then it very possibly is out of time.

I have a janome serger overlock 8002D the needle get caught on a bar on its way down and I won,t let it go down because the needles will break and I am frieghtend of doing damage to the looper

Be sure to install brand new needles. A bent/damaged needle could strike and break or cause damage.

Otherwise, you should probably take your machine for service.

I just got a new Janome 8002d serger. Why does it make a clicking noise when I begin to serge and then it goes to straight stitching that comes unsewn.

I don't have a Janome, but you might check your threading to see if it's correct, lucky you to get a new one!!!

What would a 8 yr old 634 janome serger be worth.well taken care of and clean?

At this stage, the value is whatever the market will bear. Their is no real value in 2nd hand sewing machines or overlockers. Try looking on ebay for some guidance. Good luck

I have been given an old Janome sewing machine. The cord looks unsafe and it doesn't have a presser foot. Is it worth getting parts for?

If, you go to www.sewingpartsonline.com , they sell cords etc for Janome, just know your model number and you probably can buy a manual too. They usually run about $35.00. Another suggestion, would be to take it to Sears sewing machine section and see if they have a Janome there, and will they let you try their cord. If, they will, you know that it is the problem and more than likely worth putting the money into it because you cannot buy a decent machine for that.

I checked the instruction manual available for the Janome 8002D serger through the Janome website:

and did not find a date of printing on the manual (which would give an idea for the year/s the model was manufactured.)

I also found the following information on one of the Janome web pages:
