My fagor oven cable melted. How hot should it get on the outside?

The cable (20amp) at the back of my oven melted. At first I thought it was badly installed so I had a new wire installed. It's working again but I think the outside of the oven is too hot on the outside. What's the maximum temperature should it be, i.e. how hot is too hot?

SOURCE: fagor oven will not regulate its temperature, once

From the symptoms you describe, I would say the oven thermostat is faulty, and in need of replacement.
This is the control you regulate the temoperature with.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Natural Gas, convection oven won't heat.

If the gas valve is on(no continuity) then yeah that is it, keep in mind the ignitor could be weak. I didn't notice where you replaced the ignitor and you say it is working so that means the gas valve has continuity. You need 37 ohms on that ignitor or a total amp draw of at least 3.5 to open that valve.I have a video: HERE

Fagor Pyro System Class A Oven stuck in in reset loop?

Hi,

it sounds like you just need to have a 1-hour plus power cycle of the oven before it stops the reset loop that it's on. So after leaving it unplugged for 1 hour, you will plug it back in. However, I would use a different power source than you've initially used to eliminate that power source as the potential cause of the error that you're experiencing.

If still having issues after the oven is plugged again, please hold down the power button for at least 30 seconds before releasing it. Otherwise, you can reach out to the manufacturer for their expertise on the matter as well. Their phone number is (305) 779 0170.

Thank you.

The grill remains on when using the fagor oven causing food to burn

Most likely a bad control, or control board. Check on Ebay for the part, and you tube for a video of how to replace it.

Fagor oven has error code F06

I cleaned the smoke filter, took of the top cover, in front of electronics is the brown smoke sensor. I took of one wire off the sensor, started the oven (beware of not shortcutting anything) the f06 error message had disappeared. I put back the wire, mounted the top cover and the oven functions like new.

Oven cuts out with a bang when i turn it on ???

if you hear a big bang, and it wont light right away, it is normaly the ignitor thats going bad in oven. the ignitor has to get very hot to ignite the gas. orange in color. if this is the problem be very carefull not to bump the new ignitor on any thing, if you replace it yourself.I had the same problem last year, when trying to light oven it blew the door part way open because the ignitor was bad and the build up of gas caused this.
