Whats the Operating System on your PC?Do the printer drivers correspond with that Operating System?If not,download the corresponding drivers from this dell support site. This you select under compatibility.
After uninstalling the printer,disconnect fully and unplug from power.Reboot your PC before installing the printer again.

You have to install the printer drivers. Click here to download the driver for DELL A920. Select the driver file according to your Operating System (e.g. Windows XP). After downloading the file, just double click it and follow the on-screen instruction. This will install the printer and you would be able to print.
What happens when you try to print from the printer. Just try to make a copy of a document from the printer. if that works it should be issue with driver uninstall and riesntall the driver should fix the issue
go to Dell websitr and downlowd the updared programs and driver for the All In one printer, the problem might not be your laptop, but your printer and the software having a connection issue. check with Dell.
