SOURCE: 42'' lcd turns on no picture/menu

Your tv is being attacked by electrical surges which seem very violent and has already damaged some logic controls. Please invest in a AC filter which will protect your tv from such spikes....... but first you need to get your tv serviced from the electrical damaged it has already suffered.

SOURCE: Orion TVD2710. Lost remote, can't change signal input

I would suggest you try to find a universal remote that has an "input" or "source" button and program that one to your tv. By pressing the "source" or "input" button, it will change the input to the tv. I hope this helps! -Der Strom

Quoting from link:

"You will need to have have the original remote for the TV for this to work. On your TV remote control press and hold down the MENU button and the VOLUME DOWN button on the TV itself at the same time for at least 5 seconds. If that doesn't work try holding down the '0' button on the remote and the VOLUME DOWN button on the TV itself at the same time for at least 5 seconds."

I have a two year old LG 47lg50 LCD HDTV and recent started getting "function not available now" flashing continuously on screen. Also set will not power off permanently, returns on shortly after...

The solution for the problem is to replace the control PCB. The PCB is the printed circuit board that controls the volume, channel and menu buttons.

These parts can be found and bought from Sears parts direct.

A break down of the cabinet parts can be found here.

I have a 47lg70 ug 47" tv. The set up menu randomly pops up. It then start scrolling through some of the other menues. No changes are ever made. Also, the volume will not adjust, none of the contols on...

You will need to replace the Sub PCB. Its about a $50 fix if you do it yourself.

You can find the part here.

Its part 510.

This circuit board controls the volume, channel, menu buttons, ect.

RCA HDTV MENU AND VOLUME CONTROL POPS ON AND OFF SCREEN.

My TV was doing the same thing. Someone told me to disconnect the front menu buttons and this worked for me. The board goes haywire. You have to take off the front black panel on the bottom first then the grey front panel where the controls are. Once you do this you will see where there is a plug from tv to the panel where the control buttons are. Just disconnect. You will only be able to use your remote for TV. Its a cheap and easy fix. Just lots of screws to get the panels off and on. Good luck!
