is the battery in correctly? All Volumes up? If yes to both of those and you still get nothing, Then the tuner is not wired into the pick-up or is defective

To the best of my recollection, that is a laminate wood dred size guitar. Should go for $150-200.

A used Alvarez acoustic made in Korea is probably maybe worth $100. The model number is probably what the model is called
