It worked before today, (the other shoe drops, omg did it?>)
then what does detach mean.
it has wires, or what>?
USB can be wires, or bluetooth dongle, i cant see your Tablet

it has battery, time for new battery any time wireless devices like this fails.
1st things first..
2011 made pad.
Model 183825F (this is the tablet # model not keyboard)
Lenovo has zero hits on there web site for this #

but my guess, is the keyboard does not have Bluetooth USB device, ? but is just a USB keyboard.
ok found and old sales sheet in this pad
i see it came with keyboard.
runs Android OS
the only hint is see is in the spec, for docking station
it says supports wireless orig. keyboard.
so if it is wireless. detached, then the battery is dead
easy no, wireless can not run lacking POWER.
no wireless of any kind works with no battery or power supplies

SOURCE: Lenovo thinkpad keeps dropping internet

This sounds like bad wiring from the internet side, or noise on the line, which would drop the connection, but not enough to indicate it. Get the line checked to make sure it's a strong, clean signal. Good luck, hope this helps.

SOURCE: Keyboard not working

For a cheap solution, have you tried plugging in a regular keyboard?

Likely, the real problem is a loose ribbon cable under the keyboard. It is a bit messy to open open a laptop. So, if you can get by with an external keyboard, it might be the best solution.

It has been a while since I opened an IBM/Lenovo. Some laptops are easier than others to replace the keyboard.

I've got a 4 port switch with two computers hooked up - a desktop and a Lenovo Thinkpad R60 laptop - the desktop works perfect but when I switch to the laptop only the keyboard works - no video or mouse

The Thinkpad does not divert the video automatically to the external monitor via the KVM switch, you need to divert the video by pressing on the Fn key and the press the F7 key to toggle between the Thinkpad's LCD screen and the video port/external monitor. You may need to use a separate USB mouse connected to the Thinkpad.

Ok i have a lenovo laptop and suddenly this morning when i went to type in my user password nothing typed. nothing will type at all or even work on the keyboard, and i would do the last good configuration...

Try an external USB keyboard. If it works for you, then reset your bios to defaults. If that doesn't fix the problem, then you probably have a hardware problem. Either your keyboard died or the keyboard port on the system board died. It is possible that re-seating the keyboard connector will help, but I doubt it. Good luck.

Want to attach a different keyboard

You can use any external keyboard with a ThinkPad by simply plugging it in to the Universal Systems Bus slot (known as USB) without any additional configuration

Any USB keyboard rated compatible with your operating system should work just fine when plugged into one of your USB slots.
