SOURCE: Deck may be bent?

On your problem it is diffiuct to say. I don't know how old it is and if it has been run hard in gravel or how many roots you hit. However if the blades hit it hard enough you may have hit the deck brackets. You need to get it no concrte so you can mesure the for corners of the deck on the level surface, then check which side and if it's front or back that is higher. Most likely the lowering arm Is what is bent where the lever you Drop the deck down with is, look tthere first. Also look at the top of the deck and side to side at the lawen mower and see if you can see if the deck is up higher on one spot more than anywhere else. . I know this is confuseing but hope you understand what I am saying. I would also check the front axle mesure the top o the axle on both sides are they even? Yes? then mesure from ground to top of the hood on the lawnmower. Good luck.

SOURCE: how to adjust the mower deck on my murray rider,

Park the tractor on a firm, level surface. . .
At the lower end of the lift/lower travel slot, there should be a plastic cover which you pop up so that your blade lift handle goes all the way down (it should say something about blade level on there somewhere. . . . .
After you have the handle in this position, look at the front lift arms of the mower deck and find the 2 large wing nuts, one on each side. . . . .
Loosen these while the deck is down and then retighten them Your deck is now level and will lift to its highest recommended position when you raise the lever

If you are looking to spend about $400 on a repair to a B&S engine you may want to buy a whole new motor instead. I had bent valve push rods, which is very common B&S problem. The parts cost me about $30.00, and a 6 pack to my handy-dandy neighbor to do the fine adjusting. Anyhow before finding the actual problem I was googling around and I was surprised at how cheaply you can buy a new engine. Does not seem to be much of a market for rebuild/exchange on these small engines.

SOURCE: cub cadet rzt 50, hit stump, blades wont engage but not bent

The blades on this cub cadet are activated with air pressure. Chances are that when you hit that stump, you either blew a fuse or the control module that allows the blades to spin. Begin by checking the fuses. J.

try pushing the blade up into the deck,,,if there is any lift in it there is the fault,,the top nut has come off the blabe drive pully and let the drive shaft drop a little this will lower the cutting blade,,,fix it before the blade falls right out

most craftsman have a bar that goes from the deck to the front of the frame that raises or lowers the deck in your case you will want to tighten it up to make the deck higher.

My JDL120 MOWER DECK WON'T RAISE OFF THE GROUND MORE THAN 1.5".iHAVE HIT ROOTS AND ROCKS OVER THE YEARS AND WAS STILL ABLE TO RAISE DECK NORMALLY.

First thing is to get down and look at the linkages. You may have a weld that came loose, or a nut that worked it's way off. You may also have something that bent.

Does the lever move all the way up but the deck doesn't move with it, or does the lever stick at the low level.

If it's sticking, you may just have picked up an obstruction like a stick or stone in the wrong place. You may also have a bent or damaged linkage.

Does one side or just the front or back lift up? One of the pins that hold the bars that it pivots on may have come off or broken as well. Looking underneath while someone works the lever for you can tell you a lot.

I purchashed a used 26 54 husqvarna 2007 model rider and it will not cut low enough. My murray will scalp ground if i lower deck to ground. It looks like the blades are designed to be set higher off...

Low under the steering wheel there may be an adjusting knob. If it is there are you turn it, it should adjust the height of the deck. If you lower the deck and try to turn the knob it will be difficult to turn and you will know that is what it is for, the deck lower stop. Then pull up the deck and adjust a bit and lower the deck and see where it is, repeat until satisfied with the deck height when lowered.

Rider not cutting evenly

It's usually a bent blade, or a bent or loose deck, or a guide wheel or roller missing. It can occasionally be even a dull blade that pushes the grass over rather than cutting it. If the other blade(s) is sharp, it will cut at the correct length and you'll see an unevenness between the two.

Park it on a flat, smooth surface. A paved driveway or sidewalk works well. Check your wheels and/or rollers on the deck. Are they all touching the ground? Are they loose and wobbling? If nothing is obvious yet, take a tape measure and check the height of the bottom edge of the deck in several spots. They should be all close to the same measurement. If it has different measurements, there is usually a slotted adjustment where you can loosen the adjuster, make the correction, and tighten it up again.

Also, did you hit anything that may have bent a blade? Are the blades in good condition? If the blade tip on one end gets bent up, it will cause a sculpting effect to the lawn surface.

I hope that all helps!

Craftsman 20 hp 42" lawn tractor moweer deck hitting back wheel on right side when put all the way up. checked for broken parts but none found, help

The deck is either badly out of level or has been twisted by dragging on something. Most riders have rather thin metal used in the deck and it can be damaged much easier than one might think. Re-level the deck and use a small block as a gauge or eye reference point and you may find the deck is bent.

My Cub Cadet i1042 tractor shuts off when the blade is engaged. This happened after I ran over a ***** and/or stump. Every time I try to engage the blade the engine shuts off.

Check for bent blade against deck housing.Possible you bent something on mowing deck, check all spindles and pulleys. You could have something hung on blade and making contact with deck. Rarely will the motor be hurt from hitting object on rider.

Rider cutting uneven

check and see if you have a bent blade. If bent replace. If the blades are not bent then you need to check the levelness of the deck. You can measure the distance from the blade to the ground on all the blades. Make sure you are on level ground. If one set of blades is higher or lower you will need to level the deck. Refer to you owners manual. If no owners manual there is probably some hangers that are threaded and has a nut on it. Loosen one to lower and tighten to raise. Only do one side.

good luck

I have a Husqvarna YTH 2348 the deck anti sway bar came looses fell of frame and bent, I removed rod strightened and need to kown how to put rod back in proper location on the frame and deck bracket

Once you've straightened it - you've finished the hard part. Now take the end without the pin and stick it into the hole located on the transmission frame (the metal piece that the transmission sits on.) It is directly under the seat. The hole is on the front side of the tranny frame. Once you have it all the way in, take the pin end and put it through the mower deck brace (right side.) There is a hole there also for this end. If it doesn't go through enough to get the washer and pin through, push the mower deck towards the anti-sway bar. It should give a lot since the anti-sway bar is off. Once you fasten it, your'e done!

I only know this because it just happened to me today. I have the same mower as you, so I thought I would share.
