SOURCE: why frequently relight my pilot?

check for water run off from above or sprinklers directed at heater. A high wind stack may be needed due to heater location. Millivolt models have a thermocouple or pilot generator that may be faulty or weak. Loose or rusty connections of the thermocouple to the gas valve or loose coil connection, or short in these wires can shut off a pilot.

SOURCE: frigidaire electrolux gallery series

stoveboy,

I know you probably have the problem fixed by now, but I had the same problem with my frigidaire range just the other day. Loud popping sound, range/clock controls do not work. Stovetop still works great.

I took the back off the stove and got to the circuit board. Unplug the connector and the five spade connector wires. Once you do that, remove the 4 screws holding the entire assembly in place. The circuit board(s) are held in the housing with retaining clips on the housing. Use a small screwdriver or similar to pull back on each clip to pry each side of the board out. Once the board(s) are free, look in between the two circuit boards and you will see the problem. The larger, 20 amp relay is the culprit. It blew traces off of both boards making it almost impossible to repair. Without having a schematic to go by, I went ahead and decided to just replace w/ new boards as opposed to trying to solder the traces. I have not checked on prices, but brief web searches didn't return any results. The board part # is SF5301-S7509-N

SOURCE: How do I relight the pilot light?

Hi,
There is no pilot light on many of the dryers of today. They light with a hot surface ignitor.
Here is a tip that I wrote about dryers and no heat on gas dryers...

I understand that you want to relight the pilot on your Frigidaire dryer. For this problem I would recommend having a professional come out to the home and properly repair your appliance. One must be very careful when handling gas. -Matt

How do you relight the gas stove.

not knowing the year ,, there are 2 ways stoves light, pilot light and glow plugs, following the gas line into the oven itself, If it has a pilot light you will see the control for it,, just hold a match or flame to the end of it and you should see a button to push,, If you have a glow plug,, it should light after a few second of turning on the knob,, watch to see if there is a glow next to the oven burner if there is and its not lighting,, your thermo coupling may be bad

I have found that kitchen cleanser and a crub pad along with good old fashioned elbow grease is your best bet...

The fine scratches might come out with a good rubbing compound like the type used on car finishes...

Want to clean under stovetop

Hello
welcome to Fixya,
This stove has sealed burners and there is no need to lift or clean under anything except the burner caps.
You can not get inside the top and you can not lift the top like the old pilot stoves!
When you clean the burners and around rings do not spray or saturate the are and or the igniter element that creates the spark.I'll be back in a moment with your user manual.
first what is the complete model number of your range as written on the sticker in the door jam of the storage compartment down below. left side!
