SOURCE: Ptac does not function. Board flashes "Br",

Dear Friend! Er means Powerwas lost or voltage is low.
Do you believe if volt meter shows correct volts, it's perfect? No, even loose contact of neutral, burnt wire, it shows correct volts in that point.
Simple way to check the power is alright or not, just remove the a/c plug and connect any other device like electric racer, table fan, blower or iron box which work same volts as a/c. If other devices work, your power is o.k Or check for loose contact in your electrical wiring. Thanks.

I have a 9000 BTU Amana PTAC that is dead.

Check voltage in , there could be one side of breaker burned causing only one side to come through. This happens on older main breakers frequently which messes up whole house.

My Amana PTAC PTC153B00AM has no power at all. It is wall plugged, but no lights come on on the board. It was working fine and showed no signs of going bad. Can this be a blown fuse or transformer?

Check the GFI plug where it plugs into the wall and reset it. Also, plug something else into that plug to make sure you didn't pop the circuit breaker

I have a chance to buy several amana ptac units (ptc074D series) they are rated at 265 vac I only have 220vac. Will they work at 220vac? Is there a conversion kit needed?

The 265/277v units will not work in a 208/230v hotel without a transformer. Basically you do not want to get involved with that. When replacing your PTACs stick with the proper voltage. As far as a conversion kit, if one exists, the cost will put you right back at the cost of a new unit. If your hotel is wired for 208/230v it won't give the unit the power it needs to function properly. When looking for replacement units here's what you need to match (besides getting the proper BTUs):
Voltage
Unit size (make sure they fit in your existing sleeves)
Power cord configuration (the 265/277v will have a different power plug)
Good Luck!

Power coming from circut board? If yes, check the capacitor. Low voltage fuse good? Transformer good?
