Kkmoon 8 ch DVR with 1TB WHEN I POWER IT ON THE START UP SCREEN (KKMOON) COME UP ON THE SCREEN AND THEN WHEN IT GO'S OFF NOTHING. RED POWER LIGHT IS ON DVR AND IN A FEW MINS BLUE RECORD LIGHT COMES ON BUT NOTHING ON THE SCREEN. ALL CAMRA'S HAVE THE MOTION LIGHTS ARE ON SO THEY ARE GETTING POWER AND WHEN THE dvr COMES ON IT BEEPS FOR THE CAMRA'S.

Why do you think you need to update Firmware?

Ask them direct. There are no download sites and they don't offer it. It is Budget price Chinese junk. These DVR and Camera Bundles are a one-time offer and they move on to the next iteration.

Can i use a hard drive out of a compture foe my kkmoon dvr

It should take any 3.5" SATA hard drive. You may have to format it, and you probably want a larger capacity than what comes in most laptops.

Your documentation should give you a way to do a factory reset, that should put it back to the original password. If you don't have that Google factory reset for your model of machine. Last resort get a hold of their service center.

I have just purchased a Kkmoon dvr/avr H.264 Model AVR7308 and after purchasing a WD 500gb sata3 cctv hard drive and installing it in the unit I cant get the avr to recognize it.

Some Manufactures have a compatibility list. Before you bang your head for too long, see if the drive is compatible with your DVR. If not return it and buy one on the list.
