2015 Sorento. Rear hatch closes but won't fully latch.

The striker probably needs adjusting - if it is a double sneck latch move the striker out a little and if it is just a single sneck latch it will need moving in.

A tailgate or rear hatch usually closes on to adjustable rubber buffers that often lose adjustment due to them "walking" over time. The aim is to strike a balance between the correct latching of the tailgate and pressure on the rubber buffers so the tailgate doesn't rattle and the finished position is where the gap between the tailgate and body is equal all the way around.

The chimes on my hermle movement 150-070 sound funny. It's a bell and "clunk" sound as the strikers hit the two bells. Is there an adjustment?

You need to bend the arm on the one hammer back that is making the clunk sound. You will have to experiment a little until you get the sound you are happy with.

Why won't my schlage deadbolt key go to the neutral spot in the lock position to remove the key?

You likely have the lever that goes from the outside portion of the lock through the striker/bolt assembly into the inside portion rotated into an incorrect position when you insert it into the striker/bolt assembly.

Trunk won't close

If after every re-adjustment the trunk close only to refuse to close after sometime, it is posible that striker is not tight enough and probably shifting after some uses. It is likely also that the threads on the bolts or screws are worn lightly. If posible try using a spring washer or some threadlocker medium strenght.

Doors where hard to close without the weather door seals. But with them on they will not close. The body plates more but not enuff on the cab? I need HELP.

Hi!!
The doors Hinges or Striker need to be adjusted to make up for the weatherstrip thickness. To do this, loosen the hinge-to-door bolts for lateral adjustment only. Loosen the hinge-to-body bolts for both lateral and vertical adjustment.
FRONT DOORS 1kbron_78.gif
REAR DOORS

BEFORE YOU START:
  • Determine which hinge bolts are to be loosened and back them out just enough to allow movement.
  • To move the door safely, use a padded pry bar. When the door is in the proper position, tighten the bolts to 19-25 ft. lbs. (26-35 Nm) and check the door operation. There should be no binding or interference when the door is closed and opened.
  • Door closing adjustment can also be affected by the position of the lock striker plate. Loosen the striker plate bolts and move the striker plate just enough to permit proper closing and locking of the door.

I have deadbolt segal lock that was working for 2 months. suddenly today i can't lock the door from the inside. locking works from the outside. when i lock it from the outside i can unlock it from the...

Sounds like the tumbling mechanism for the handle may be off......check to make sure that the screws are tight that lock the front and back of the deadbolt together. Make sure that the door is fully closed and check to see where the deadbolt is hitting the striker. It mat be as simple as the door and frame have expanded a bit and the door is not fully seated when you close the door from the inside. See if these help if not please contact me as I wish to find a solution to your problem.

What is the means of opening the fuel tank door on a 2009 Subaru Forester?

i'm guessing you have a problem with the release cable?try slipping your credit card in between door and plunger that pops it open, the plunger is located at the rearmost centerof the door ,the door striker that rsts against plunger could just be out of adjustment,if you operate the release and see the plunger moving it's ok,adjust the striker a simple little tug towards the plunger is sometimes all it takes
