SOURCE: How to remove front panel of dryer

Be sure to unplug the machine from the mains,

1.-Remove the top cover of the machine, very straight forward.
2.-Unclip the universal coupling from the main timer to the back of the knob.
3.- The whole knob assembly is held in place by a backing plate.
4.- There are 2 clips at the top of this backing plate raise them and the backing plate and knob can be pulled out.
5.- there is a plastic clips but be careful not to break it.

The knob breaks when it has been turned in the wrong direction several times. It's a safety device so as not to damage the main timer.

What does e24 error on my siemens tumble dryer mean ? After about 10 mins the machine make an alert warning noise and flashes the error sign and said turn off and start again .
Unfortunately, it means you have a computerized machine that can only be repaired by a technician with proper diagnosing equipment. Even if you can find out the meaning of the code... that may not tell you what to do about it. (It usually involves replacing circuit boards). Monetarily, with regard to cost of repairs, we were all far better off back in the days of ''switches'', ''knobs'' and ''mechanical timers''.

How to remove control panel hotpoint ts12p tumble dryer
I removed the control panel on a TS12P tumble dryer to get the door and front panel off when replacing a drive belt. After taking off the back panel and loosening the wrap-round casing, pull off the timer knob, remove the Pozidriv securing screw, and push the panel firmly to the left to unhook the metal prongs. Ease the panel up and forward at the lower edge to disengage the plastic prongs from the slots in the return angle of the front panel. Tip: keep the screws removed in separate trays or egg box recesses to help replacement when re-assembling.

Bosch WTA 3100 Tumble Dryer ON/OFF switch
The on/off switch is combined with the door release switch in one item - part number 154145 (a little over £20) and my problem was the door interlock bit had failed. The following worked for me :
Plug out, remove top panel, and open door + look up at switch panel - you see 5 slots under the switch panel (the 2 outer ones are mostly covered by the main front panel). Start at either side and work across, using as wide-bladed a screwdriver as will fit across the slot width : put a wood block under blade as a support and lever bottom of panel towards front - each has a plastic pin behind pointing towards the rear, held by a spring clip. Each will pop clear and when all are unclipped you rotate the panel outwards from the bottom edge, taking the timer knob and its drive linkage with it. To get switch out I removed the door and the screws around the main front panel - one is hidden behind a cover plug below the access port (to gain access to bottom screws on main panel, lever the bottom panel outwards along its top edge).
