Follow the instructions in the manual for descaling. Press the 6oz and 8oz button together for two seconds. This will dispense a cup of water(since you have already cleaned) . The clean light will flash....when the cup is done the light will go out.

That worked...thank you so much! I would have gone literally insane trying to figure this out. It took a couple of tries for me to hit both buttons simultaneously so the clean light flashed, but very easy to do. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Great! Don't know why the manual doesn't cover this. Thank you.

The manual contains instructions for descaling the 12 cup brewer in one section and then covers descaling the single serve brewer in another section. The caveat is that there is only one clean button on the unit and it's on the side of the single brewer, so I guess you have to clean both when the clean light lights up.

This fix also did not work. Pushing booth 8, and 6 0z button at the same time for 2 seconds just dispenced an 8oz cup but did not turn the red light off

I unpluged the the coffee maker for 30 min. When I pluged it back in and the light came on when I turned the maker on. So after going through the cleanning porcess 4 times of both maker and K-cup side my clean light is still on. This coffee pot is appox 4 months old and is used once a day on the carafe side and 2 cups a day on the Kcup side. So is Cuisinart not the quality product I thought it was?

SOURCE: clean light will not off after cleaning cycle performed 4 times

Unplug the machine for 20 minutes or longer - don't skimp on the amount of time, or it won't work. After 20 minutes, plug the coffeemaker back in, and you will see that the self-clean light is now off.

Decalcification
Decalcification refers to the removal of calcium
deposits which form over time on the metal
parts of the coffeemaker.
For best performance from your Brew Central
Thermal™ Coffeemaker, decalcify the base unit
from time to time. The frequency depends upon
the hardness of your tap water and how often
you use the coffeemaker. The flashing Clean
light will indicate when you should clean your
coffeemaker.
If the Clean light begins to flash when the
coffeemaker is turned on, it is telling you that
the calcium buildup is interfering with the
functioning of your coffeemaker and the flavor
of your coffee. To clean, fill the water reservoir to
capacity with a mixture of ¹⁄³ white vinegar and
²⁄³ water. Press the Clean button. When the self
clean light glows, turn the coffeemaker on by
pressing the on/off button. The Clean light will
shine steadily. The coffeemaker is now in Clean
mode. One cycle should be sufficient to
adequately clean the coffeemaker. When the
cycle is completed and the five beeps sound,
the coffeemaker will shut off. Turn the
coffeemaker ON to see if the Clean light
continues to flash. If it does, turn it to OFF and
then repeat the cleaning procedure with a fresh
solution of vinegar and water.
If the Clean light no longer flashes, turn the
coffeemaker to OFF and then run one cycle of
fresh cold water through the unit before using
the unit again to brew coffee.
Notes on the Clean F unction
Pressing the Clean button cancels all other
settings. If it is pressed accidentally, press it
again to return the coffeemaker to all its
previous settings. Pressing ON/OFF will also exit
the Clean Mode and turn the coffeemaker OF

Got this coffee maker from a buddy. had been sitting for a while, ran lots of water and 2 cycles of vineger and water though without the filter to clean out debris in resevoir. still getting quit a bit in...

You may find this a useful site in the future:

Your Instruction Booklet:

http://www.cuisinart.ca/pdf/ibs/en/DCC-1200C_en.pdf

It is likely that calcified deposits are gradually breaking away as you now use the coffee maker. Is your Self Clean light flashing? Instructions on decalcification and cleaningh begin on page 5 of your booklet.

To clean, fill the water reservoir to capacity with a mixture of 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 water. For your problem, let the vinegar solution sit in the reservoir for 30 minutes to an hour before beginning the cleaning cycle.

Press the Self Clean button. When the self clean light glows, turn the coffeemaker on by pressing the ON button. The self clean light will shine steadily. The coffeemaker is now in Self Clean mode. One cycle should be sufficient to adequately clean the coffeemaker. When the cycle is completed and the five beeps sound, the coffeemaker will shut off. Turn the coffeemaker ON to see if the Self Clean light continues to flash. If it does, turn it to OFF and then repeat the cleaning procedure with a fresh solution of vinegar and water.

If the Self Clean light no longer flashes, turn the coffeemaker to OFF and then run one cycle of fresh cold water through the unit before using the unit again to brew coffee.

If you continue to see debris, unfortnately you will have to repeat until clear.
