Check out e-bay and request exact part you need for exact model. Put a "search for" on it, somebody will get back to you. I seen lots of battery doors listed for several makes and models on someones sight when I was looking for a Kodak cable!

SOURCE: I've got mould in the little squares of my salad spinner. What's the best way to clean it?

I'm guessing that your salad spinner is made of plastic. If you don't have a dishwasher with a hot water option, I would fill your sink with very hot soapy water and let it soak until the water cools. By then, most of the mold should have come off and you can simply rinse it.

SOURCE: Is it true that it isn't good to put mushrooms in a salad spinner?

I haven't heard that but I'm guessing the myth has more to do with getting mushrooms wet. Some chefs say that if by washing mushrooms off with water, it rids them of some of their earthy flavor. Many chefs at nice resaurants simply rub the dirt off of mushrooms, not soak them.

How should I dry lettuce if I don't have a salad spinner?

I don't have a salad spinner at home. All I do it rinse the lettuce, leave it basically "standing up" inside of a collander and let the water drip off. If I don't have enough time to leave it til it drys on its own, I sometimes shake it out and then wrap in it paper towel for a few minutes.

Can you put mango in a cous cous salad? I really like the idea but it sounds a bit weird.

It's totally fine to stick mango in a cous cous salad. I do it all the time. Try throwing in some chilli and plenty of parsley and coriander. Just make sure that your mango isn't over ripe or it will make the cous cous mushy.

What does a salad spinner do?

A salad spinner washes and takes away extra water from the lettuce/spinach/etc. The lettuce spins around which creates a centrifugal force. This force gets rid of the water.

My washer had stopped spinning about two weeks ago, we replaced thecoupler and it worked fine but today it stopped spinning again

1
Unplug the washing machine, and turn off the water supply to the machine. If necessary, remove the water hoses from the back of the washing machine because they may be in the way of the access panel.
2
Check that the agitator is seated correctly by opening the lid of the washing machine. If it's loose, pop off the top of the agitator--if there is one--and tighten the bolt that holds the agitator in place. Or, in some models, simply pull straight up and then reseat the agitator.
3
Remove the access panel located in the back of the washing machine by unscrewing the screws holding it in place. This allows access to the drive motor.
4
Press on the drive belt that works the agitator. If the belt moves more than 3/4 inch, tighten the belt to fix the spinner problem. If the belt is worn or cracked, replace the belt.
5
Replace the drive motor, if tightening or replacing the drive belt doesn't fix the agitator. Purchase a new drive motor at a wholesale retailer. Disconnect wiring, remove screws holding motor in place and insert new motor. Screw into place, and connect wiring.
6
Check for any black substance leaking under the washing machine. This might indicate a clutch problem, if the washing machine spinner is not working. Contact a professional repairman to replace the clutch.
