You have an internal hard drive error. You will need a new box.

The receiver is more than likely in single mode. Go to the receiver and ensure the green and blue lights are both on. If not press the door on the right of the receiver and press the mode button until the amber light illuminates closest to the green light. If it will not do this you can press the front panel power button and see if that will allow you to be able to do so , if not try unplugging the unit from the electrical receptacle for thirty seconds and try again. if these fail you will need a service call to have the receiver replaced.
As for the other receiver recording on all four tv's I can not answer that as I do not know the cabling system at your home and whether there are switches etc. It is really an issue that needs to be addressed with more specifics as to all hardware in the system or dealt with by a technician.
I will be more than happy to troublleshoot this for you if you can tell me the other receiver type and if there are any switches in the system and what type of dish you have e.g. 1000.2, Super Dish, or a two dish solution.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Okay, we can do this. Go to the menu on the satellite at either TV locations. and press 8 then 5. You are now at the Record Plus screen. Move the highlight to the record preferenceand toggle up or down to the desired record preference. After this ensure that you select enable on the activation side of the screen. You will then need to select done. Now you are in business! Thanks ffor using Fix Ya.

We do not use the dvd recorder that comes with the dvr. We put it on our network and use the software utility to pull off any file footage we need. Though it is in a format does not allow you to play it back on a standard dvr (you must use the file viewer and a pc) it is very easy to get the footage off.
