The tablet washing powder is not the best, it takes higher temperatures to fully dissolve and they are more caustic than normal powder, You may also need to try cleaning the inside of your machine, you can either use about 1/8 cup dishwasher powder on a hot wash or you can buy specific de-scalers for washing machines.

SOURCE: Does wearing clothes treated with insect repellency really help?
Cloth treated with insect
repellency offers a long lasting protection against mosquitos and unlike the
traditional repellent, the repellency is near your skin not on it which
alleviate concerns about skin diseases caused by long term use of the
traditional insect repellent.
SOURCE: Does an insect repellent is an alternative for mosquito net?
Insect repellent is not
an advised solution in these cases. It's less effective and much more expensive
than a mosquito net and can also cause health risks with long term use.
SOURCE: Do insect repellent clothes look much worse than normal clothes?
No. Insect repellent clothes look like most outdoor clothies, but are woven with a certain substance that kills or knocks out bugs and extends its effects on also the uncovered parts of the body close to the piece of clothes.
It looks or smells no differently than normal clothes, and costs only a bit more, not even so much.
SOURCE: Which insect repellent is the best against mosquitoes' bites?
This may sound strange but it works. Get a pump "water" spray bottle, and mix 50/50 with water and Listerine mouthwash. It has to be the original "the yellow kind", then spray the area around you, examples - benches, chairs, the ground around your fire pit, the ground around the tent/door/window etc. Don't spray yourself or your tent (can ruin water repellent and/or the tent, and would make you smell like medicine) It's not very effective if you're hiking or moving around, but if you're staying in one area, like a campsite or your backyard, it's great. I sprayed my deck benches, chairs, railings and around the hot tub. Went from a bite every few minutes to a bite every few hours immediately. It works better than any commercial repellent I've ever tried. Asides, if it doesn't work on the kind of mosquitoes where you live, you'll only be out the price of the Listerine. Hope this helps, happy camping. Brother Grim.
